My name is Cash. I am a 27-year-old pianist from Colorado, USA, based here in Berlin. I have an extensive background in music, with knowledge and expertise in both classical and jazz music, as well as theory, composition, improvisation, reading, and more. I have performed in multiple countries, have a Bachelors of Music and over 20+ years of experience. I have taught in public schools, and had private students as well.

My ideal student, no matter the level, is self-motivated, and understands that music, like any skill, takes time to develop! There are no shortcuts. If you have this mindset, then with me you will get to whatever goal it is that you want, whether its playing a piece of Chopin or playing a jazz standard at your first jam session.

I am very kind, I don't use harsh criticism commonly associated with piano teachers, and I adjust my approach based on the students desires/goals.

Liebe Musikfreunde,
ich unterrichte mit viel ausprobieren und Freude am Klavierspielen.
Egal welche Motivation- ob Noten lernen, ein spezifisches Stück zu spielen oder Lieder begleiten, ich werde praxisnah arbeiten und gebe Hausaufgaben, damit du auch unabhängig von mir lernst Klavier zu spielen.
Ich unterrichte seit vierzehn Jahren, studierte Musikpädagogik, Klavier und Cembalo und durch viele LehrerInnen und SchülerInnen benutze ich viele lustige Wege, um schnell lernen zu können. Dieses Jahr werde ich mich auf Erwachsene und Jugendliche fokussieren.
Ich freue mich auf euch. Wenn du 15 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad von mir wohnst, komme ich auch zu dir nach Hause, sonst unterrichte ich in der Universität der Künste oder bei mir zu Hause.

If I should describe my piano lessons I would say that they are very playful! The talking and theory is secondary, most important is to play and then see how to listen and adapt from there. My students have fun, they enjoy our lessons, otherwise they don't practise and make progress :)
It is important that our lesson is making you more independant and secure to play and understand music on your own! I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. This year I will only focus on teaching people over 12 years old. If you live 15minutes by bike from me, there is the possibility to come to your home. Otherwise I will be teaching in Universität der Künste or at my home.

Hi there! I'm a professional, award-winning guitarist with over 18 years of experience playing Jazz, Blues, Funk, Pop, and Finger-style. I have worked internationally as a bandleader, accompanist, and solo performer.

My approach to teaching is very pragmatic, time-efficient, and fun and I prefer not to overwhelm students with too much information or technical exercises.
