Trusted teacher: Hi there! My name is Altea. I’m a qualified and experienced teacher with over eight years of experience teaching students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds.
I’m a native Italian speaker, and I lived in the UK for eight years, where I taught Italian in individual, group, and online lessons. I have supported students preparing for A-Level Italian, professionals working with the Italian market, and people planning to travel or move to Italy. I teach Italian (and English) using the Direct Communicative Method. This means we focus on speaking and understanding Italian in real, everyday situations. From the very beginning, you will learn Italian by actively using it. Our lessons will take place almost entirely in Italian. If you’re a beginner, we can use a little English at first, but the goal is to build your confidence so you can speak naturally and comfortably. We will also work on grammar, pronunciation, reading, listening, and writing, according to your needs. I have experience teaching all ages and levels: from primary school children to professionals, in companies, language centres, and public schools. I’m also very comfortable teaching online, and I use shared drives, digital materials, and interactive tools to make the lessons clear, organised, and enjoyable. I provide all useful digital resources, but you’re welcome to use a physical textbook if you prefer. If you’re passionate about travelling to Italy, planning to relocate, working with Italian clients, or simply fascinated by the language, I can help you learn and enjoy Italian!

Trusted teacher: Hello to you, budding or experienced musician! My name is Cyril, I am 33 years old, I am a professional musician. Concert musician but also studio musician, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and composer. I've been a guitar teacher since 2017, that's 8 years now and I still get so much pleasure from teaching music through the guitar :) I deepened my knowledge of Jazz at JAM in Montpellier and I am currently training in the Jazz department of the Montpellier regional conservatory. I prefer to teach a traditional method to my students to help them acquire the necessary foundations for effective and lasting personal development. My courses and programs are tailored to each student, with follow-up. * Special beginner program lasting 1 or 2 years. * Special program for beginners in jazz. * Special improvisation program For advanced students, we review the basics first, then I teach them a more personal method based on my own technical developments, the result of a long and passionate effort. For the different subjects and techniques, the courses consist of: - Rhythmic Solfège - Classical, Picking, Arpeggios played with the fingers, Fingerstyle, Alternating Bass accompaniment, etc... - Advanced "Percussive Guitar" Techniques (striking the guitar while playing) - Playing with a bottleneck guitar and various tunings - Theory, Understanding Chords, Scales and Modes. - Personal Development to Improvise in all keys and different modes. - Basics & concepts of Harmony. - Themes and explorations of musical styles: Country Blues Rock Flamenco Bossa Nova Funk Folk Celtic Swing New Orleans Jazz - Learning to compose. - Support in the development of a project. * I can give music lessons in English * *I can teach music class in English* I also offer 1.5-hour classes that can be scheduled twice a month or more if needed. Ideal for those who already have a busy schedule or want to study a little more in each class. It is possible to take group classes with several students in the form of a workshop, in which case the price is reduced. See you very soon! Cyril

Trusted teacher: Playing the drums is both fun and very rewarding, but it also carries a significant amount of responsibility. The drummer is the backbone of any musical community, creating a vital foundation for the other instruments to thrive upon. With a wealth of exercises and content available online at your fingertips to study, I can offer you valuable, personalized advice on three key aspects: technique, time, and touch. I like to call them the 3Ts. Technique: Playing the drums is physically demanding, requiring an awareness of proper posture to safely build the muscles needed to maintain a seamless flow of movement for hours on end. Time: Keeping a steady pulse is the primary focus of being a drummer. We need to build up our confidence to consistently maintain the desired time, even under adverse conditions. Touch: While presenting steady time, we need to open our awareness to make our beat feel good. It’s an attitude. It’s about being musical. This means using dynamics and personalizing our four limbs to create our own unique groove. This is where it gets deep. I love teaching beginners. They usually can jump ahead quickly in a short time. There is no mystery. The way forward means dedicating a little (or a lot) of time daily to the drums. Even just 10 minutes a day can lead to significant improvements. That’s the secret. I recommend using an intensive approach with the classes. Beginners take 5 weeks of 60-minute classes to learn the basics and then continue working on your own, returning for follow-up “check-ups” as needed. For intermediate-level students, I recommend a 90-minute class where I present a comprehensive overview, all tailored to your immediate needs. You then come back for more when the information has been digested. For advanced-level students, the same. There is so much to cover that we can focus on very specific topics. Styles, the rudiments etc... I have a lot of experience with traditional jazz and the rudimental history behind the craft. In the end, it's about creating time to connect with the drums every day. This connection is a wonderfully rewarding and grounding addition to our lives. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
