Trusted teacher: Welcome Student, Having graduated from Mathematics and Computer Science myself, I have noticed that there are many subjects that the majority of students have difficulty with. These are often also the subjects that are most important for progress, because many future subjects build on them. Are you a bachelor's student and do you have the same problem, then you've come to the right place. Together we go through the material and work towards your exams, so that you can confidently enter your exams. From a 'birds-eye view', many of these courses clearly have specific types of assignments that you must be able to pass your exam. We pick out these kinds of assignments and we will train you together in order to master them. In addition, we will counteract your weaknesses by going through assignments and theory about it. To get a clear idea of which courses I have taken and what exactly I can help you with, I have listed below my completed university courses (all passed with a 7 or higher). Note that I study in Utrecht myself, so your courses may have different names. Math - Proofs in Mathematics - Infinitesimal Calculation and Linear Algebra 1 - Introduction to Probability Theory and Statistics - Infinitesimal Calculation and Linear Algebra 2 - Analysis - Introduction to Geometry - Introduction Groups and Rings - Introduction Analysis in More Variables - Introduction to Topology - Functions and Sequences - Discrete Mathematics - Topology and Geometry - Introduction to Scientific Computing - Analysis in More Variables - Differentiable Varieties - Groups, Modules and Shows - Thesis Computer science - Computer architecture and Networks - Imperative Programming - Functional Programming (Haskell) - Introduction Project - Databases - Data structures Graphics - Optimization and Complexity - Languages and Compilers - Competition - Modeling and System Development - Software Testing and Verification - Image processing - Software project If you are not sure if I can help you, you can always send me a message! Trusted teacher: Good morning ! My name is Raphaël and I have been at EPFL for 5 years. Graduated with a Bachelor in Mathematics from EPFL, I am a specialist in academic assistance for mathematics and computer science. I have a lot of experience helping and supporting first-year university students, and I have numerous assistantships for the most demanding courses at EPFL (Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, Machine Learning, Analysis Digital etc.). I have accompanied many students during the course and I know the challenges encountered by the students. I carry out real work of reframing and monitoring the student, while ensuring an atmosphere encouraging the student's personal progress. I am currently at Harvard finalizing my Master's thesis, and looking to assist students in Switzerland. My experience : - 9 assistantships for EPFL courses from 1st Year to Master level (Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, Numerical Analysis, Programming, Machine Learning, MAN, etc.). - EPFL assistant training certification. - Experience as a Mentor for 1st Year students (learning monitoring). - Correction and assistance with writing projects and exams for the Machine Learning Master course at EPFL. - Several years of experience in python and C++. My curriculum : - Bachelor in Mathematics from EPFL (5.01/6) - Bachelor thesis (6/6) - Master in Data Science from EPFL (5.4/6) - Master's thesis at Harvard (in progress!) I am very flexible on working conditions and locations, but here are some examples of private lessons: - Online availability on Zoom, I have a tablet and a pen for optimal working conditions. - Directly on the EPFL campus to save you additional transport. - Possibility of working in groups with your friends with different prices. Students of all levels are welcome and of course my help will be adapted according to the needs and objectives of the student. Whether it is for a one-day private lesson to resolve a few problems, or monitoring and support during the semester, I will endeavor to offer the best assistance to the student.

Superb experience with Dr S Iyer. Very easy to schedule, responsive, preparation before class and follow up after class. He helped my child understand concepts that were unclear, he has profound knowledge of the subject, he knows how to get my child interested and it helps to learn when one is engaged, I was present in the room during parts of the lessons and I could see he cares about my child liking what he is teaching, but is also focused on making sure she gets it. Via zoom it is very easy to have the lesson. Thank you very much Dr. S Iyer!
