About Me

My musical history: from the age of 6 to 17 I took classical piano lessons. When I was 16 I started drumming in a heavy metal band. Within 2 years I taught myself a more extreme form of metal (technical American style (Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Death) Death and grindcore) on guitar. Then I released 1 demo (1995) and a CD (1998) with the result of the first demo, demo of the month in the Aardschok. The CD that was released in 1998 was also mentioned as CD of the month and as band of the month in the same Aardschok. In the past 10 years I have upgraded my acoustic guitar playing by playing with different groups, including Irish Folk with a Shanty / Irish Folk band, a trio band that played different covers (from The Band, Bob Dylan to Townes van Zandt) and recorded more than 200 tracks with: Ukelele, Mandolin, Double bass, banjo, piano and of course guitar. These tracks are 90% self-conceived, recorded and mixed in my home studio. For the past 3 years I have been playing double bass in an Americana trio with my own work.

I graduated from the Conservatory in Arnhem (ArtEZ) in 2013. Since then I have been working as an actor, singer and pianist (mostly theater). In addition to playing always been active as a teacher. Blues Guitar and Blues Piano Lessons

If you want to learn to play the blues or expand your knowledge, you've come to the right place. Lessons are taught in a relaxed yet serious setting. I have a greater affinity for traditional blues than blues rock. You don't necessarily need to be able to read music, either for guitar or piano. I can teach you (the basics of) sheet music on the piano and explain the tablature system for guitar. You certainly don't have to follow the music stave religiously; finding the right feel and trying to improvise are more important and central. Recognize and understand the blues patterns: 8 bars, 12 bars, 16 bars, ragtime blues, and all its variations.
