The Human Voice has an intimate and emotional connection with our physical body and mentality, whenever we express ourself through speaking, singing, improvising or simply long to express what words cannot, the voice is one of the most direct and authentic ways to connect with ourselves and with others. Drawing on my professional training in Jazz Vocal at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, my background in Chinese traditional music, and years of personal practice in yoga and qigong, I have developed an organic, embodied approach to vocal expression. Rather than focusing only on vocal technique, I guide students to explore the relationship between breath, body awareness, deep listening, and the natural flow of energy (Qi). Through this process, the voice becomes freer, more grounded, and more expressive. My lessons are open to singers of all levels, as well as anyone who wishes to reconnect with their voice. Depending on the student's level, the objectives to be achieved, but also their strengths and weaknesses, we establish a working method together. Most often, the lesson focuses on identifying and clarifying grammar points that need review (inversion, enjambment, tenses, agreement, Dutch syntax, etc.), and on practice exercises. I also frequently assign small homework assignments for the following lesson, as language learning requires consistent effort.
