BenjaminGraduate guitar teacher, give home classes all styles all levels in Paris and suburbs!
Want to start learning the guitar, or improve? I give private lessons of acoustic guitar and / or electric for all ages, all levels, at home or at home in Montreuil in a large lounge dedicated to music.
I have 15 years of practice of the guitar and I graduated from ATLA, school of music in Paris where I am trained in the professions of current music (basically it's all music except the classical), so Blues , Jazz, Bossa Nova, Pop, Rock, Metal, Reggae, French song, etc.
You will not learn with me infernal techniques that after hours and hours of rehearsal will allow you to make the fastest solos in the Paris region. But I'll teach you how to make the notes and chords sound better, I'll help you develop an expressive game.
I have a teaching method in place, but it is quite flexible, it can be adapted according to your desires and your level. It is based on the learning of pieces (imposed or according to your choices) varied that will allow you to work several techniques of play, and a complete musical training:
- The agreements (how they are built, encryption, reversals, enrichments)
- The notes and intervals on the neck of the guitar
- Harmony (tone, degrees, cadences, substitutions)
- The ranges and the modes
- Melodic and rhythmic readings
It is quite possible to start classes without any musical training.
In electric guitar, I teach the essentials to know to have a good sound:
- Effects (reverb, delay, distortion, etc.)
- Amps (settings, different types)
- Design your pedalboard
Specialist blues and jazz, I also practice many styles such as folk, bossa nova, funk or rhythm'n'blues.
My classes adapt according to the musical tastes as well as the level of each student. I leave to the students the choice of the pieces they want to learn, as well as the support (sheet music, tablatures, orality).
Whatever the styles of music, several points seem to me essential to work:
- The Blues
I insist on blues learning which is the basis of most current styles (jazz, rock, funk, folk, etc.)
- The sound
With the multiple possibilities of choice of sound on an instrument like the guitar, the work on the sound is all the more indispensable. It must not be forgotten that sound is the first thing that comes to the ears of the listener. It reveals the personality of the musician: the great guitarists (Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Green Grant, Wes Montgomery, etc.) are identifiable from the first notes!
Trying to acquire a solid rhythm to allow you to "groove" is essential in any kind of music. I propose several types of exercises to help solidify his "internal clock".
The improvisation that allows to detach from the score and allow the student to bring his personal touch on a piece.

AdrienAcoustic guitar lessons - classical techniques, learning the accompaniment guitar
The classical guitar, while being at the origin of the other guitars of the current music (folk guitar, electric guitar) possesses a singular repertoire which allows the learning of particular ways of playing: arpeggios, polyphony. If the course is based on classical guitar techniques (which are also used for other styles), the other techniques and repertoires of the acoustic guitar (classical and folk) can be approached. Some solfeggio and musical theory points will be given.
After 10 years of training in conservatory and music school, I give tutoring guitar. I'm also a singer-songwriter, so I can give advice to people like me who want to express themselves in music!
