About Me

My name is Damien, 22 years old, and in parallel with my student activity, I have been giving music lessons to children, adolescents and adults for several years. Truly versatile, I am able to adapt to the needs and personality of my students. Indeed, I base my teaching of the guitar and of music in general on the development of the creativity and the musical ear of my students. In my opinion, the most important thing is to instill in my students autonomy and a passion for music. Regarding my student and professional career, I hold a license in musicology, ethnomusicology course (study and practice of extra-European music) obtained at the University of Paris 8 of Saint-Denis.

I am currently studying composition (for orchestra, small instrumental ensembles), baroque, classical and modern writing, analysis as well as jazz, simultaneously at the conservatory of Gennevilliers and at the conservatory of the 1st arrondissement.

Experience / Qualifications

I have been practicing the guitar as well as the piano, alone or in a group, since my teenage years. In addition to that, I have been playing the transverse flute in various jazz groups for four years now. A large part of my musical practice revolves around the Gamelan Balinais, a group with which we performed in the large Pierre Boulez hall of the Philarmonie de Paris on October 2, 2021 as part of the Nuit Blanche.
