Singer, songwriter, and singing educator.
Teti is a Greek singer and songwriter who lives in Brussels and works in Europe and in Greece as well.
Teti was born in Athens and after taking guitar lessons and participating in many choirs and music groups for several years, she studied singing with Areti Topouzidou and French Literature and Language at Aristoteles University and Bologna University. In 2008 she began working as a professional and two years later participated in the recording of the second album of Graviton and of the first album of the Greek composer and violinist Dimitris Kouzis. Following that, she collaborated with many Greek composers as Marios Strofalis, Panagiotis Margaris, and Nikos Doukas, and with many bands as Graviton, Antidotum Tarantulae(Music of South Italy), and Mare Libre. In 2014, she joined forces with select musicians forming a band known as Teti Quartet, which started by interpreting songs from various areas of the world. Gradually she has extended her concerts around Greece in the most important music scenes and theaters as Half Note Jazz Club, Numismatic Museum, Guizi Foundation of Santorini, and many Festivals.
Besides that, her repertoire consists of World Music, and has always displayed a keen interest in exploring international repertoire.
She is also a songwriter and she wrote lyrics and music for several songs in her First Album released in 2016 in Greece with the signature of one of the most important musicians Thymios Papadopoulos

The course is intended for anyone seriously interested in the functioning of the voice and its application in singing (support, power, vocal stability, timbre, etc.).

Inspired by the EVT (Estill Voice Training) method, a system that explains how the voice works and uses it to rehabilitate vocal disorders, strengthen public speakers and support high-level performers, my goal is to make the student more aware of their vocal instrument and more comfortable in their sound emission and singing.

We will begin by exploring the source of sound: our body. We will cover breathing and warm-up exercises, and focus on various sound emission techniques to improve voice quality and control.

This course is for all those who want to sing and whatever their level, age, history! The desire and the pleasure of singing must be the first motivation!

Actress, singer and author I developed my musical practice (jazz singing, voice work, piano) parallel to my studies of theater at Insas and music at Lemmensinstituut. Next to the artistic projects that I lead (ROSA - Brazilian music - jazz - French song); Foëhn (jazz, world music), I taught the musical awakening from 2015 to 2017 at the school of music Blanches and Black and gives since the beginning of the 2018 the course of vocal training for students actors of the "Cours Florent" in Brussels and I propose on the other hand courses of songs and a work of the voice in individual or collective.

The sessions last 1 hour and can be held in groups or individually.
We always start with breathing, relaxation and inking exercises and then explore our tool with a few exercises before going to work on a piece if the student wishes. We then search together for the right tone and then dissect the melody and the text for personal interpretation. (Possibility also to work texts for reading!)

Let's go to meet this wonderful tool that we use constantly but know so little: the voice and more precisely the voice sung!

The teacher has been singing for 22 years. She studied Solfeggio and Piano at the Musicole (Uccle) then Singing and Soflège at the Académie de Saint Gilles, in Lyric Singing. She took group singing lessons with several renowned teachers (La Voie Créatif, Frédérique Rochette, Jérôme Porsperger, Corps Chant Voix). The teacher has a piano to work on vocals and piano. The teacher works on the basis of song texts. The student discovers or recognizes the song after choosing between several titles. The teacher adapts to her student's tastes as to the type of music that pleases him, she transmits her knowledge of singing whether for melody, for rhythm, for the placement of the voice and breathing. I'm a singer-songwriter from the UK and recently moved to Brussels! I have over 15 years of performance experience both in choirs and with my own artist project, including performances on BBC Radio 4 and at Glastonbury Festival. I was classically trained which helped me to develop my technique and an innate understanding of singing. I love to help singers of all genres from musical theatre to soul, pop and a bit of jazz! Equally, I work with students of all abilities, whether you're looking to try singing, you'd like to work on your technique, practice for an audition, or simply gain the confidence to perform, then I can help!
