Hello! My name is Katerina, and I invite everyone who wants to learn this magical instrument—kids and adults alike—to join my violin lessons. I have the experience: I graduated with honors from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, taught gifted children in Minsk, and am currently studying at the Basel Academy of Music in Switzerland.

Whether you're an aspiring virtuoso or just want to play for pleasure, all are welcome! The main thing is a desire to learn; we’ll master the rest together. Lessons are friendly and relaxed, with a bit of patience, a bit of persistence—and soon, the music will start flowing!

In addition to violin, I also offer beginner piano lessons for both children and adults—perfect for those who want to explore another beautiful instrument.

Recently graduated with a double master's degree (master in pedagogy + master in performance) in violin at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, I offer violin lessons.

My lessons are aimed at a wide audience of all levels (from beginners to 3rd cycle conservatory) and of all ages.

I can adapt to the needs and objectives of each student and, for example, offer additional musical training courses.
I am also open to all types of directories.

I can give lessons at my home, but also at the Hochschule in Basel or at the student's home if it is not too far away.

Professional violinist in Basel - Master Diploms from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis - Violin lessons - Solfège teacher - Chamber music lessons - Deutsch, English, Français

I like to start from the point of the student, observe his/her abailities and focus a lot on how the body itself can help to develop a good connection with the instrument, in order to create a fluid interraction between the person and the music. For this I try to use my knwoledges of the Alexander Technique. It is important that the position of the instrument is compatible with the body of the student. Furthermore, I like to approach a diverse repertoire from the early baroque period and make the student discover the history of the music in its context. Learning by heart, memorize melodies is also a part of my pedagogy.

After my studies of modern violin in France, I studied in Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and got two Masters in baroque and romantic violin. I have also a degree as Solfège teacher. I am taking Alexander Technique lessons and use it in my own practice and pedagogy.

In my career, my life is frozen, my Lust, my Motivation, and my Ratschläge, my life is erroneous. Even though the settings are individual and personal, the programs are different.

Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day has gone by without me saying to myself that motivation and pleasure are the greatest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor a relaxed and work-friendly atmosphere during my classes. Technique is of course of great importance to me.
I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola which I practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

My primary focus is on creating a personal connection and approach to the chosen instruments and to music in general. This includes (depending on your wishes, of course) your own musical expression, improvisation, songwriting (with lyrics if desired), song accompaniment and improvisation, as well as music theory and instrument-specific references.

Stylistically, the focus is on blues, rock, folk pop and world music, with strong references and influences from classical music, hip hop, electronic music and jazz.

My course focuses on the personal realtion between the individual, the chosen instruments and the music itself. This includes musical expression, improvisation, songwriting, songwriting, interpretation as well as music theory and specific aspects of the instrument.

I am a professional violin teacher and orchestra musician based in Basel, Switzerland. I graduated from two masters in Basel in Performance and pedagogy and work now as a teacher and freelance musician in symphonic orchestras.
My favorite approach in private teaching is to create a course including the principals fundaments of violin techniques with an adaptation to the needs of each students, whatever their levels, favorite repertoires or goals. I have been teaching children and adults of all skill levels privately for over 10 years and have experience teaching at Boston University and the New England Conservatory. I serve as a substitute for the Musikschule Riehen and Musikschule Basel. I offer 30/45/60 minute lessons and I am happy to teach you in your home. My main area of expertise is classical music but I have experience as a Jazz teach and player. I did my piano studies in Chicago, Boston, and Basel. I offer beginners' classes in piano and harpsichord for any age, and can additionally provide the basics in music theory.
A passionate learner myself, I started harpsichord at age 5 and have recently graduated with a Masters from the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Specialized Performance (Improvisation). My experience teaching started in New York where I taught school students piano and music theory. I am also a professional continuo player accompanying Baroque orchestras on the harpsichord, as well as a composer of experimental music.
My experience in very different musical scenes gives me a unique approach to studying that allows me to adapt the content and structure of lessons according to where the student wants to develop their skills. This can include focus on exercises like scales and arpeggios; studying simple pieces from Classical, Baroque or even Pop repertoire; figured bass; body posture awareness; and trying more experimental things through free improvisation techniques! I've also found that accompanying practice with theory helps to deepen one's understanding and joy at learning this beautiful music.

I am a piano teacher with over 30 years of experience, passionate about nurturing musical talent at every age and level. I have taught at esteemed institutions such as the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna, and many of my students have gone on to succeed in auditions at top conservatories like the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover.

My students have also won national and international competitions including Premio Crescendo (Florence), Prima la Musica (Austria), the Grand Prize Virtuoso (Los Angeles, New York, Vienna, Berlin, Salzburg), and the Brno Mozart International Piano Competition.
