Trusted teacher: Have you ever seen a saxophone and wondered how it feels to play it? It’s never too late to start! I will help you get started with the instrument. Do you already know how the instrument works? Great! Let’s take it to another level! I have plenty of study method books with a big range of different styles, we will find the ones that you enjoy the most and suit you better and combine it in the right way, to help you improve. Plus work on any music that you personally want to learn, name any song and I will help you learn how to play it! I myself had amazing and terrible music teachers during my learning process and believe me, I know what a difference makes... To really enjoy learning music or just to feel a ‘must study’, is the difference between ‘...I have to’ or ‘I want to!’. I finished a Bachelor and a Master's degree in the Music Conservatory (The Hague) and then spent five years in the jazz scene in New York City, which gave me a very wide experience. Whether you are a beginner or preparing to enter a Music Conservatory, I can help you. Classes description: I have different study books we can use depending on the level, Wastall, Klose, Voxman, classic duets, jazz duets, Rubank, Horen, Lezen & Spelen, etc.... Plus I can write for you the songs you want to learn. If you have specific needs of topics to learn I will adapt the lesson and material to it. If what you want is to start or develop further in jazz music and/or improvisation, I’m definitely ready to help you! Beginners: Start finding the sound of the instrument, where the notes are within all those keys, begin with learning how to read music if you don’t read yet, and find easy and fun songs to play to enjoy the instrument already. I can introduce you to the understanding of basic harmony and theory concepts to help understand better inside music that you are playing. Intermediate: We can get to improve the technique of the instrument, reading skills, get more precision, speed, sound and timing and musical expression. Advance the understanding of harmony, its beauty and its possibilities. If you like to work on improvisation we can get to discover how to enjoy improvising with all the technical tools you already learned in the past and enhance that material according to your taste. If you want to start with playing jazz music I can introduce you to first steps and nice and technically comfortable songs to begin with. Advanced: At an advanced level it’s very important to understand the direction you want to take and what you especially want to improve. However I can help you perfectionate sound and timing, rhythm, vibrato, etc..., work on the accuracy of the reading and at the same time make it sound musical and human. On jazz music and/or improvisation, expand the vocabulary for improvising, the knowledge of harmony, what you can do with the material you know from different perspectives, increase precision and sense of direction when phrasing lines, learn more jazz standards, help on original compositions. And of course share all the better understanding of jazz music I learned during my years in New York City.

Trusted teacher: Hello everyone ! I am 39 years old, I am a professional guitarist and graduate composer. My rich and varied musical journey, going from "Art Rock" to Classic, passing by French song and currently jazz allowed me to acquire a beautiful experience that I like to share with my students. Obviously passionate about my favorite instrument, I am just as passionate about music theory. From baroque counterpoint to jazz harmony, from classical orchestration to digital music publishing, I have always thought that understanding the sound universe multiplies perspectives, opens up new horizons! My method is simple and has always proven to be effective: working in symbiosis with pure instrumental technique and the general understanding of music, its cogs which seem to the novice musician so mysterious. In addition to basic instrument learning, I also teach: 🎸️ Experimental instrumental techniques 🎸️ Work of virtuosity 🎸️ Picking game 🎤️ How to go well with singing 🎵️ Arrangement 🎵️ Composition 🎵️ Harmony (classical or jazz) 🎵️ Improvisation 💻️ MAO (Computer Aided Music) Exploring musical styles: #Pop #EXP #Classique #Electro #Jazz #Jazz Manouche #Art & Hard Rock #Chanson Française #Blues #Funk (60's / 70's) 🎥️ Possibility of lessons by webcam ️🇬🇧️ I also speak English 🏡️ I give lessons mainly at my home: Châtelain district in Ixelles, many transport nearby: 🚊️ bus (54), tram (92, 94, 81.) and metro (Louise). 🐸️ GREAT BEGINNERS welcome! (no prior knowledge necessary) See you soon !

Trusted teacher: Have you always wanted to play the piano, but you tell yourself you are not really “musical,” not talented enough, or that it is too late to start? Or maybe you played a long time ago and would like to come back to it, but you do not feel comfortable, your technique feels shaky, and you lack confidence. This is very common for adults. Most of the time, what holds people back is not a lack of talent, but a lack of method: - you do not know what to practise, so you feel like you are not progressing - coordinating both hands feels complicated at first - reading music and music theory can feel intimidating - you tense up easily, and it feels like “it doesn’t sound good” - you start, you stop, and motivation drops because it feels like too much effort My role is to make piano clear, accessible, and enjoyable, with a precise plan and simple steps. The goal is for you to be able to sit at the piano and play real music with confidence: - to enjoy playing at the end of the day - to play a few pieces for your partner or friends - to finally learn the music you love In practice, we move forward with a calm, progressive, and very practical method: - build solid technique, without tension or stiffness - improve rhythm and coordination step by step - learn to read music at a realistic pace, with simple and useful reference points - work on pieces you enjoy, with arrangements adapted to your level - set up a short, effective practice routine that fits a busy schedule You will always know what to practise, how to practise it, and what matters most. Many adults progress faster than they expected, because we focus on what is essential and avoid wasted effort. I have a Master’s degree from the Royal Conservatory of Liège and I achieved ABRSM Level 8. I have three years of teaching experience, and I adapt each lesson to your goals, your level, and your pace. If this speaks to you, send me a message with: - your goal - your current level - how much time you can realistically practise each week - whether you prefer in-person or online lessons I will tell you the best way to get started :D

Giorgos
rating star
rating green star
Giorgos has continually shown in every class I've taken with him to have a very good rapport with students and great teaching competence, showing the ability to explain topics, questions and mistakes in a way that the student understands and learns from. He's supportive of the level of knowledge, goals and the different musical tastes of students, allowing the diversification of the topics and repertoire studied in class, thus creating an excellent learning environment. In short simply 10/10. Excellent professor! Definitely recommend him to those who want to learn or/and better their skills at the instrument.

Henry

rating green star
Henry held a great lesson for our 6 yo son. He made it fun and interesting and was able to quickly adapt the exercises depending on how our child responded. Also worth mentioning that Henry was able to overcome language barrier as our child speaks very little French or English. Our child was very happy and wants to come back for more

Iban

rating green star
Iban is very friendly, calm and patient - despite the fact I came to him as a complete beginner. By the end of the first session I'd learnt my first song and like it so much I booked in for more classes immediately. I'm really enjoying my classes and would highly recommend Iban to anyone looking for a sax teacher.
