As a bilingual native speaker, I know that learning a language requires a lot of work, both in the language you study and in the one you're born speaking. Between untranslatable vocabulary, new grammatical concepts, and new sounds to produce, there are plenty of exciting aspects to the art of knowing how to speak a language. Passionate about international affairs and multilingual, I speak French fluently, Japanese since birth (born and raised in Japan), Spanish at intermediate level +, and English at B2 level. I'm a recent beginner in Korean but I already know a little of its grammar ^^ I offer online or face-to-face courses in Toulouse, focusing on pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary using explanatory diagrams with my graphics tablet, and exercises that I will propose during the courses.

Hello. I’m Asuka, a native Japanese speaker. I’m currently living in the Toulouse city centre. I’m not a professional language teacher but I’m interested in the career path as a Japanese teacher. When I was living in Tokyo, I met many Japanese learner. They work hard on the learning, they love Japanese culture. Simply, I was impressed by their enthusiasm. At the same time, that made me think that I’d love to support them as a Japanese who was born and raised in Japan, who is also as very curious about foreign matters as they are. My lesson will be casual. I’m thinking of free talk style in Japanese and English. To distinct it from just a language exchange, I’ll make some efforts. Such as, I’ll try to talk easy Japanese and let you talk more than me, corrections can be happened, questions are always welcome, and if you have materials you want to use during a lesson, I’ll accept them of course! If you prefer to focus on grammar, reading rather than just listening and talking, that will work too! I can flexibly make adjustments for lessons. Don’t worry even if you’re a complete beginner. I truly respect your curiosity and support you. If you’re an intermediate learner, you might be struggling. It’s okay, every small effort is leading you to the next level! Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Japanese, I offer an apprenticeship that will allow you to quickly acquire solid foundations and speak fluent Japanese and useful in everyday life. Having studied Japanese myself in high school and university using classical methods, I realized once in Japan that the language I had learned was sometimes far from the reality of that used in the everyday life! So I created my own course materials myself to teach my students more natural Japanese. The lessons are written by me and I use various supports for the exercises. I can of course adapt my lessons according to your level, beginner or more advanced, and to your needs and objectives, whether academic, professional or personal. For example, I can help you with a trip, a professional project, an exam (bac or partial) or a JLPT type competition. My journey: After a literary baccalaureate with Japanese option and a month-long language internship in Kyoto, I obtained a Japanese LLCER license with honors at Paris 7 Diderot University. I studied the language but also the culture, literature and Japanese history. During my studies I gave support courses to undergraduate students, as well as beginner level courses. I then spent 6 months at the University of Ochanomizu in Tokyo, where I had the opportunity to give French lessons to Japanese students. I took the JLPT N2 in 2019, which corresponds to a C1 level. I am flexible and available at times that suit you, lessons can be done at my home or yours according to your preference. I offer a reduced rate for group lessons.
