Hello! My name is Alexia, I am 26 years old and I had graduated the Faculty of Foreign Languages, English and Russian. I am Romanian and currently I live in Cyprus. Few words about me: - I had graduated the Faculty of Foreign Languages, English and Russian (bachelor and master's); - I own a certificate that offers me the possibility to teach in Romanian schools; - I tutored since my first year in university; - I studied with Erasmus Scholarship in Russia, I was volunteer in Turkey where I teached high schoolers English, I had a Work and Travel experience in the USA; - I worked in a youth organization with and for foreign young volunteers; - I worked in Ireland where I spoke only English. At present, my "full time" job is tutoring (soon I will have an English speaking club). I offer private lessons to children, young people, and ladies who can understand very basic English, or who are Romanians. I also can teach Russians, as long as there is a very basic level of English. *by knowledge of very basic English I mean the person to be able to read and knows some words. The lessons will be in English, and the native language will not be used much. My approach is to teach English in English, which is one of my favourite ways to learn a new language (personal experience). What I offer? Private lessons that focus on the person's needs (grammar, vocabulary, speaking, help for school lessons). The materials offered are digital and printed *if the lesson is face to face. The information is taken from English handbooks and they are adapted to each lesson. !! I offer parents feedback after each session, and also a monthly one that shows the progress of the student. Since 2018 I've been teaching and tutoring English to students across the world. I've taught in the private sector, in schools, and now privately online. Many of my students work for international companies or have relocated (or plan to relocate) for work or study and have an immediate need to improve their English. Their goals often include things like better communication for business, making social connections, or simply making day-to-day life in a new country easier. If this describes you, I can help! I've lived internationally for much of my adult life, and I completely understand all of the wonderful experiences, as well as the challenges, that come with communicating in an international setting. In my lessons, I help clients to learn, retain, and USE new information. When we practice grammar structures, we do it in contexts that are meaningful and useful. When we learn new vocabulary, we practice by talking about interesting and memorable topics. Overall, my lessons are low-stress and conversational yet always focused on results. If your first language isn't English, it can be difficult to express your "true self" in the language, but it gets much easier with practice and persistence! If you are an advanced level student, we'll also work on idiomatic language and cultural references. This helps boost your conversational skills and makes understanding English speakers in general a whole lot easier.
