First of all, you should know that my main role is to follow the student throughout his learning of the language. Consequently, an assessment will first be carried out in order to establish the objectives to be achieved. Then, secondly, the implementation of personalized courses in order to best help the student in their learning. Each lesson lasts 1h30, it is divided into 3 parts: The first being vocabulary/grammar, in the form of cards, images, videos or sounds, students will learn the vocabulary useful for their projects or their school curriculum. The second being oral/written comprehension, the vocabulary learned, as well as the student's knowledge will be tested during comprehension. This part aims to assimilate the vocabulary, refine the ear and discover words and accents. Finally the third part is led by the student, the latter must talk about a current subject (Sport, politics, video games, science, series...) which is close to their heart. This part aims to let the student express himself and create an exchange, in order to improve the accent and acquire fluency in speaking, through different scenarios. But this part has an additional objective, the subject of the "oral/written comprehension" part of the following course will be that chosen by the student. This method aims to give the student additional interest and involvement in the lessons.

Hello, I am Josh from Australia and I currently live in France. I am an English teacher and tutor. My approach to teaching is based mostly on the Communicative Method. Everything we do - reading, writing, listening, grammar has an end goal of serving a communicative purpose. I do not lecture, and I try to keep my talking to a minimum. It is about You, and you should be talking the most. I like to elicit and get a lot of information from my students', that helps in building their confidence in the language and reducing my teacher talk time. And finally, my approach is FUN. We need to enjoy what we are doing. I create lessons that are engaging, motivating and interesting. We need to have a laugh and not take things too seriously. Language is play and play is fun, if it's not then we will get bored. I have been teaching English for over 8 years now in a few different countries. I love teaching English and getting the most out of my students. I take a great interested in supporting you in your language journey and success. With me, I will support you, challenge you, and create lessons specifically for you. That way, you will enjoy the lessons and see improvement.
