Whether you want to pursue visual arts professionally or not, it is one of the best ways to express yourself creatively. This course will teach you how to develop drawing and painting skills in various art mediums, along with references from art history so that you can freely express yourself. The structure of the lessons can be modified according to the needs of the student, and can also included visits to museums and contemporary art exhibitions. With younger children or amateurs, we can delve into crafts, collage, sketching and doodling and for people with some experience we can think about more advanced painting compositions, even installation and basics of stop-motion animation. However, it is not at all necessary to have a lot of knowledge of the visual arts, only curiosity and interest. (The price remains the same for upto three students during a session)

When you walk in Paris, every street seems like a monument. There’s always a building, a statue, or even the street itself that is part of History. Drawing is a great way to discover a big city. It demands to slow down and pay better attention to what you see. It is also a good way to keep memory of your travelling experience, more personal and original than a photo. As an urban sketcher and art teacher, I offer a drawing experience in the streets of Paris. Depending of which area you want to discover, these sessions can go from 2 to 4 hours. Everybody can draw, so don’t worry if you’re afraid of the exercise, the main goal is to have fun ! I will help you with simple technics to build sketchings. I will walk you through types of techniques you can use, I will teach you how to use software like photoshop, lightroom and etc. I can teach people that are new to art no matter the age, and also people with already some experience. I give private lessons in art history for three years, either for students who need an accompaniment, or for the curious who want to enrich their artistic culture. My teaching adapts precisely to the needs of each student and especially to their way of assimilating information. Former student in difficulty, I developed a method that allows to analyze any type of work, from classical to contemporary, without prior knowledge. I am specialized in the methodology of dissertation / dissertation according to the rules of the French University. (Construction of the plan, development of a common thread, layout etc.) Passionate, I also like to transmit the wonderful stories of the works during introductory courses in art history, artistic culture or guided tours of the museum. My classes are also convivial moments where we can talk about our personal interests, which allows me to direct my students to exhibitions, readings or events related to their subject. My goal is obviously to make my students autonomous, so I give them all the tools they need to know how to provide excellent work without being dependent on the particular teacher at the end of the year. My latest students: - Zaïd: redoubling for the second time his degree in Visual Arts at the Sorbonne because of theoretical subjects, passed his exams successfully this year. He regained confidence and taste to study. -Claire: student at Boulle school in woodcarving redoubled because of his memory. I supervised him in the writing of his new dissertation mixing literary analysis, artistic and scientific discoveries. She validated it brilliantly. -Tian: 30 years old, Chinese student, had no knowledge of Western art history. After a year of private lessons, she was admitted to the GRETA School of Tour Guides. -Aude: I guide Aude and her two teenage children in the big museums to discover the little stories behind each painting. From the Palais de Tokyo to the Louvre Museum I invent for them playful ways to apprehend the works. - Jacqueline: 94 years old, had lost her good humor and was bored. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.
