Music theory is the basis of music, whatever the instrument, a good knowledge of the theory and practice of music is an asset that will help you progress in learning your instrument. A good knowledge of music theory will also help you to read "sight" or decipher your scores. With good training and several tips, I will give you the keys to performing these moments, sometimes considered "painful" by many. students, with ease! I also offer my help with remedial lessons for children or adults having problems in group music theory lessons at the academy or other private schools. Group lessons offer little opportunity to speak one-on-one with a student to overcome certain difficulties; a regular or occasional individual lesson can remedy these problems. I finished my entire cycle of music theory at the academy, as well as 4 additional years of advanced music theory at the Lemmensinstituut during my musical humanities, I then obtained my "solfege prize" in my first year of Bachelor at the Brussels Conservatory . I have also given a lot of instrumental, theoretical and group lessons, in these, certain aspects of theory and music theory come up regularly with my students, they always find these moments very enriching. I adapt to the student's materials and books if necessary but I can also bring my own exercises and books. I offer these lessons individually or semi-collectively (max. 3 students), you choose the duration that suits you best: 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on your desires and your concentration.

In addition, I also offer musical awakening lessons for the little ones from 3 years old. Music is a great asset for the development of a child, I acquired a great experience during three years where I taught musical awakening in different schools in Waterloo (the communal school of Chenois, Mont Saint Jean) . The groups were made up of 8 to 10 kindergarten children. In these classes, I always proceed in the same way for the structure of the class, I start with a little warm-up where the children become aware of their bodies and the environment, I then continue with 2-3 exercises working on an aspect of music. like the rhythm, the voice, the melody, the instruments, ... and I always end up with a little game with percussion instruments or a musical story. As for music theory, I offer these courses in individual or semi-collective ways (max. 3 students). *How about a little activity for siblings?* Classes can last 15 or 30 minutes depending on the number of children and their ages.
Extra information
I preferably work with a piano (just if possible), I can possibly bring a small electric piano if you don't have one. The prices indicated are for individual lessons, I offer other prices for group lessons.

About Me
Like Obélix, I fell into the pot when I was little: my father is a pianist and my mother a music teacher. I started early musical awareness and recorder lessons at the Waterloo academy. At 8 years old, a single instrument was no longer enough for me and I started playing the transverse flute. I obtained my Bachelor's degree with distinction in Brussels and then left for an enriching Erasmus year in Weimar in Germany. I finished my course in recorder at Lemmens with Bart Spanhove, where I studied 4 years in musical humanity. I am currently in master 2 for the transverse flute at the imep with Denis-Pierre Gustin. Since entering the conservatory in 2016, I started giving lessons alongside my studies. I taught musical awareness in schools in Waterloo, I also gave recorder and transverse flute lessons in Lembeek in addition to leading several instrumental groups. Since September 2022 I have been teaching at the Apko academy and in Berchem-Saint-Agathe.

I perform regularly in concert, solo, in orchestra or with my folk group Mish-Mash.

I am always very motivated in everything I do, I am dynamic and punctual. I give a lot of time to my passion which is music but also to pass on my knowledge and wonders. For me the lessons are never one-sided, I learn as much from you as my students from my lessons, I constantly question myself in order to offer the best experience and learning to all my students.

I will be happy to start or deepen with you the learning of the recorder or the transverse flute.

Like Obélix, I fell into the pot when I was little: my father is a pianist and my mother a music teacher. I started early musical awareness and recorder lessons at the Waterloo academy. I don't have a favorite methodology other than the "positive attitude". I have given many lessons with very different students and with equally different expectations, I adapt as best as possible to your wishes and your situation, hoping to give enriching and fulfilling lessons. Having many children students, I created my own recorder method, for the most advanced, I am currently working on creating a technical exercise book. I teach in sessions of one hour or 1/2 hour for the youngest. All ages are welcome as well as all levels and styles. I hope to see you very soon to share my passion with you.

As an experienced music teacher, I offer recorder and music theory lessons for children and adults of all ages and skill levels!

Originally from Brazil, I have been teaching music for several years. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, I have extensive experience as a music teacher, having given private lessons and taught in music academies in Belgium and elsewhere. I develop a unique method for each student so that they can learn in a solid and enjoyable way.

The recorder is an easy instrument to learn, making it a great opportunity for children to begin their musical journey. It provides an initial introduction to musical notation and helps develop their ear. I offer students a fun and dynamic learning experience, where music is made from the very first lesson.

For adults... If you're a beginner, don't worry!
I will teach you how to produce the first sounds on your new instrument, how to blow correctly, how to adopt a good posture, etc. I will help you build, step by step, a solid basic technique that will allow you to play any piece on the flute.

If you are an advanced student or already possess a solid foundation in your instrument, I propose working on refining your technique, taking into account each repertoire. We will explore creativity and sound to produce an increasingly beautiful and eloquent musical expression.

Lessons can take place at the student's home or the teacher's home in Forest. Travel expenses are negotiable depending on the distance.

Feel free to contact me to discover this magnificent instrument!

Learn ukulele with me in Brussels. The ukulele's small size, lightweight, and strings that are easy to press down make this instrument one of the easiest to play. Learning to play the ukulele can deliver huge benefits including improved memory, coordination, and stress relief to everyone ranging from small children to seniors. The ukulele is also one of the easiest stringed instruments to learn to play, making it an excellent stepping stone for other stringed instruments like the guitar.

Drummer for 17 years with stage and studio experiences offers individual lessons at home for all ages, from beginner to intermediate.

I seek above all to put forward the game with the instrument, and connect it to the theory.
You do not have to know music theory at your fingertips to learn how to play an instrument, and if you want to progress more effectively and understand what you are doing and why you are doing it, the theory becomes an asset.

There is no age limit when the courses I offer, suitable for both the youngest and the oldest, whether the practice of the instrument or solfeggio.

We will approach the report to the instrument, with a method that focuses on the qualitative rather than the quantitative.

The education of the ear is essential, with step-by-step progression and beneficial background work for the instrument.

The learning of harmony, improvisation and reading are paths that we can explore at your convenience.

Finally we will adapt the course to suit your style preferences and pieces that inspire you.
Music is and must remain a pleasure and a passion.

Courses and Training:

Graduated in Musicology, my specialization in Singing at the IMEP (Conservatory of Namur) and in accompanying music on the accordion led me after my studies to give singing lessons in a music school (Cap sur le Music in Kraainem), as well as musical awakening in different schools, via Les Jeunesses Musicales.
Being also an ethnomusicologist, I like to work with repertoires from other horizons, both singing and accordion.
Currently working part-time at Outhere Music (production and distribution house of classical and jazz music), I have the chance to discover on a daily basis a large quantity of various repertoires, likely here to be the subject of discoveries for the student, depending on their different future artistic aspirations.
Passionate about CVT (complete vocal technique) since 2021 and trained in postural and psycho-behavioural muscle chains (GDS method), my goal is to get the student to explore his vocal universe as broadly as possible, while increasing his body awareness with each lesson.

Approach & repertoire:

I attach great importance to body awareness, presence and movement, as well as the overall well-being of the student. Having also followed a training in Mindfulness, I like to mix a therapeutic approach with the artistic work accomplished with the student.
Starting from the student's musical desires and aspirations is also essential for me. I therefore aim for personalized support that respects its own achievement objectives.
My methodology aims at learning the technique through play and body movement, both for singing lessons and musical awakening.
No prerequisite in music is necessary (neither music theory nor other).

Musical Awakening for children (individual or semi-collective – from 1 to 6-7 years old):

With young children, I try to multiply awakening approaches using senses other than just hearing, both by learning gesture songs and rhythmic activities. The activities of dance or development of the ear by listening are of course omnipresent. I work on psychomotricity and seek to discover new instruments, as well as the different repertoires which are connected to them.
I work on several levels (passive and active) and different scales of difficulty according to ages and possible interactions in small groups, in order to anchor learning and awakening over time.
Breath work is also on the program.
