Hi, my name is Michał and I am a medicine student and an active chess player. I've played the game since I was 8 years old and I won my first tournament at the age of 10. Since then, I have won dozens of tournaments and progressed my FIDE rating up to 1970. Now, at the age of 21, I am approaching my first (national) title of candidate master, which I hope to achieve soon. My approach to the teaching is very much based on the individual student and his goals. I am of the belief that whatever you want to achieve in chess, you should study all aspects of the game and during our classes we cover many different topics, such as tactical patterns, endgame techniques, positional play, openings, and more. We solve thematic puzzles, analyse the games of chess masters, games of the student, and obviously... play! Fantastic introductory lesson with my son (11). Very good communication (and fluent in English) and open manner. My son was engaged throughout the whole lesson and I received helpful feedback at the end. This was the first of a 10 lesson package.
