I'm currently doing my master's at Luzern Hoschule and I have already taught privately for 5 years and was also a professor at a music academy. I always try to pick the artistic side of my students and give them the tools to express themselves. Every class will be adapting to the student's struggles and evolution. I am a cello teacher so If you are looking for cello lessons in Luzern, I would be glad to meet you. It doesn’t matter if you are starting to learn the cello or if you never played it. Music can be fun to learn and explore and I would love to show you that during my lessons. I am fluent in German, Portuguese, Spanish and English. The lessons can have the duration of 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 mins. They can also be online, at my location or at the students location. According to each person needs and preferences. The main goal of these lessons will be to help you reach your expectations as a cello player and as a musician, either you want to delve into improvisation, methodology or just prepare for an exam I do my best to adapt my lessons to your needs. Also along the way I hope I can help you discover new works or music genres and also help you understand musical notation. The most important part is that you improve and learn how to express yourself through music regularly and have fun with that knowledge. My lessons and teachings are never the same. I don’t follow just a method or a “Cello Schule”. I insert a lot of different subjects, games and improvisation during lessons to make them more creative and fun. Every student has their individual needs and my teaching focuses on that. Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. I teach cello to students of all ages and levels: from complete beginners to those preparing for conservatory auditions. My goal is to build your technique and musicality together, step by step, so that you're always challenged but never overwhelmed. A typical lesson works on a mix of technique (posture, bow control, tone production), repertoire suited to your level and taste, and — if you want it — music theory and sight-reading. I'll set clear short-term goals with you each lesson and check in regularly on your progress, so you always know what you're working toward and why. I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I adjust my pacing and explanations so lessons stay clear and comfortable rather than stressful. If you're an absolute beginner, don't worry — I've taught people who've never held a cello before, and we start exactly where you are. A bit about my background: I hold a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied under Ella van Poucke, and I graduated cum laude from the Conservatory and University of Thessaloniki. With my quartet, I won First Prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Storioni Festival Competition 2026, and I've performed at venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
