I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduated from Codarts University in both directions) with several years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. I teach in my studio in Rotterdam Center, where I have a brand new upright piano for lessons. I speak basic Dutch, which is getting better every day. The focus of this class is to learn how to play the piano but most important how to make music. Music is a language that expresses our feelings & ideas and connects us with other people but also with ourselves. Together we will can work on the basic principles and tools to play the piano, setting a healthy technique but also cultivate your personal sense of music. Further on, we can explore new repertoire and unknown composers, refine your playing and learn how to deal with difficulties, discuss about interpretation issues and even work on your performance on stage. With music theory, we can dive into the alphabet and syntactic of music: the world harmony, rhythm, solfege and analysis.

Hello everyone, my name is Bardia an experienced and enthusiastic violin teacher in Rotterdam. The key words for my teaching are fun and personal development. What matters the most to me is to have students feeling at ease with my teaching and feeling motivated after a lesson. This is why we will be playing lots of pieces together in duos, trying to develop complicity at your own pace, no rush ever. Last but not least, I also want to train and instruct students to reach a high mental level so as to express themselves free from constraints and stresses. I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more. I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know. What can I offer? Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music. Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. How do I work? Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Additional Activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. I am a brazilian musician graduated in classical guitar, with experience in jazz and brazilian music. Everything from bossa nova, samba, choro and latin music in general is my speciality. Have been teaching for 15 years now, i developed a way of teaching music based on what the student needs to develop his/her potential. It can be more practical and playfull, or theoretical and methodical.

I am a professional musician who finished his masters studies in 2020 in Codarts, Rotterdam. Lessons are intended for all levels, I can adapt my teaching to the student needs. As an experienced violinist and a violin teacher, I offer violin lessons for students in every age and level of advancement. During our lessons, I will help you discover the beautiful and magical side of this instrument. BEGINNERS If you are a beginner, I will teach you some basic violin and music skills. In the first lessons, we will do simple exercises to teach you how to hold the violin and the bow in the correct and relaxed way. In the lessons, you will also learn some basic theory, reading music, and basic rhythms. From the beginning, you will be playing some nice, simple tunes and violin duets. The lessons are held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. ADVANCED STUDENTS In our first lesson, we will talk about students’ needs expectations, and level of abilities and choose the right repertoire for you. If you need some help with music theory – I can also help you with pleasure! Lessons are available in English, Polish and basic Dutch (level A2) and take place in the heart of the Rotterdam City-Center!
