World Literature and Poetry: learn how to understand classics and develop your mindset.

Have you ever experienced being confused about the classics? How do you react when people around you passionately discuss a book, a poem that you do not understand, that you do not feel, that you find nothing extraordinary in? Does it make you feel different and more precocious? If so, then the rest of the world must be seriously mistaken as it continues paying tribute to a "masterpiece". If not, then your way of reading and thinking must be a part of the problem.
And I can help you with this situation. Whether you do not read at all or read all the time and all the books, all the stories sound alike to you. I will refresh your vision and your perception. Letters, words, and sentences will awaken for you.
Literature is art where both the creator and the consumer are artists. Be brave to open your soul up to new thoughts and trust me to help you in this process.

About Me
I am a graduate of the philological faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University. I am qualified in world literature and specialize in the works of Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, Lewis Carroll, and Charles Dickens in English literature. But my main area of interest is in Russian literature. I analyze the philosophy of the novels of Dostoevsky and Tolstoy, Chekhov's works, and the poetry of the silver age of Russian literature.
My thesis is based on the image of London in the modern fantasy genre, so I periodically touch on fanfiction.
I have experience in teaching and I try to motivate my students to get interested and proficient in literature.

Holder of a Master's degree in Letters and endowed with a solid experience in private lessons, I provide French lessons for students wishing to:
- consolidate their bases in grammar, spelling
- improve their language skills (allophone students)
- improve their speaking skills (conversation classes)
-profect the written expression
- prepare for ECR exams
- prepare for the written examinations at the end of the studies (maturity, certificate of completion)
- help with the writing of works of maturity (or other works of end of studies), of dissertation
- work on argumentative texts
- acquire a method to analyze literary texts
- learn how to perform bibliographic research

The course material is a Google Docs document that I create in which my explanations, possible links, exercises appear. By reading it regularly, progress will be faster. It can also be used in addition to other documents (files printed by school teachers and/or books) and has many advantages: automatic updating, downloadable on tablets and smartphones, simultaneous monitoring of what is writing.

For help with writing:

The objective is above all to acquire effective tools. The student will thus be able to learn to structure his ideas, argue coherently (and convincingly) and enrich his vocabulary. It is essential for me to have written work from the student between each lesson.

For analyzes of oral literary texts:

In order to optimize the time available (and to put ourselves in conditions closest to oral exams), we choose together an extract from a work that the student will have previously prepared before the lesson. This would take around 20 minutes at most, and ideally just a little before the meeting time. If necessary, I have the habit of taking a paragraph at random which would serve as a basis for analyzing a passage.

For the corrections of end of studies work:

so that the meeting with the student is at the most profitable, I ask him to send me his writings before the meeting.

Apart from my presence with the student, any course involves a preparation time before and after the lesson, including the work that I correct. My goal is to design an individualized course, so I take the time to write detailed comments on corrected work or tips to ensure maximum success for everyone.

For example, an editorial correction can easily be the subject of a detailed commentary of 4 typewritten pages.

For adults (FLE):

In order to optimally prepare the first ones, I take the initiative to inform myself in advance of their objectives / expectations. Whether to practice speaking in everyday life, the professional world or to practice oral presentations, I prepare either PPT or technical sheets in advance that I send by mail ( after booking on the website).

The other alternative is to make a PV of the course that I send (or that I print). Giving importance to keeping a written record on the one hand to better memorize the topics covered, on the other hand to better assimilate the spelling.

Of a general nature, a concrete situation that responds to the learner's needs is the starting point. From this situation, I address the essential grammatical points.

Presentation :
As a former National Education teacher and BAC examiner, I know how to make French enjoyable for struggling students who don't connect with the subject.
Whether it is to explain how to make a dissertation pleasant to read, how to organize a composed commentary or read one's text clearly, distinctly and posed for an oral.
French is not only a subject, French is difficult and requires effort, but these are rewarded!

Method:
My students have always made significant progress, going from an average of 5 per year to having an average of 14 in the French baccalaureate. My last one to send me his results went from 6 in writing and 9 in speaking to 15 in writing and 17 in speaking (EAF 2024 session).
I have been preparing classes for these tests for years, I am up to date on methodology and programs.
My services combine the experience of teaching French and the vivacity of a young teacher who succeeds in motivating the most recalcitrant students.
My students have always made significant progress and above all, go to tests with confidence in their abilities.

I adapt to your level and I give exercises to do for the next course (finish a comment, make an introductory essay ...).
I am nice and enthusiastic but nevertheless serious: you will make satisfactory progress because you will work for 😉

It is true that the philosopher is the friend of wisdom, but above all, he is someone who does not want to make mistakes in reasoning. Philosophizing is a way of reasoning and a way of solving problems that will never have a perfect and definitive solution. Knowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon is not a problem of philosophy, because it is enough to measure to solve it. On the other hand, knowing, for example, what justice is, is a problem of philosophy. A meter will not be able to help us know the answer. We must go about it differently, and in the courses I offer, I will teach you how.

You will learn

- text reading strategies
- case studies with the aim of learning from experts
- methodology in philosophy
- writing an essay
- writing a text commentary
- a work on the philosophers of your choice
- an overview of the history of philosophy
- the general culture necessary to be able to philosophize

I will adapt to your individual needs. Each course is tailor-made. We will analyze where your difficulties lie and together develop a course program that will make you perform as quickly as possible. The basic principle of the courses I offer is dialectics, like Plato's dialogues: reflecting together, making theoretical contributions, asking questions and seeking answers, and testing the validity of reasoning.

For the past 10 years, I have been teaching German using the philosophy methodology, having studied philosophy at the Master's level at Aix-Marseille University. It turns out that the analytical mind is very useful even outside the confines of philosophy. Today, there are even fields of activity such as management with philosophy or philotherapy. In recent years, some German students have asked me to also teach them philosophy courses, and that is why I decided to offer philosophy courses directly.

I look forward to meeting you during a first lesson.

Are you struggling with philosophy, or do you want to learn the subject or deepen your knowledge? I adapt to each student's needs to help them progress and succeed in philosophy. To achieve this, I help students acquire the necessary methods, understand unclear course content, and train them in text commentary and essay writing exercises. The goal is to cultivate an interest in philosophy while equipping them with the keys to exam success.
The first step is to meet the student and determine together the difficulties and expectations of the lessons.
Master's degree and teaching qualification in philosophy. 5 years of teaching experience and currently preparing a thesis in environmental philosophy. Bilingual French-English.

School can be frustrating, overwhelming, and overwhelming. Having the right person to help you through this and provide guidance can reduce a lot of stress. Besides tutoring, I'm also a Psychology student and could help with planning, fear of failure, ADD/ADHD, etc.

I have been working as an actress and educator since 2012, and since 2015 I have devoted myself to the study and practice of Butoh dance and physical theatre. My journey in this field began at LUME Teatro, a renowned theatre group with over 40 years of history, where I studied and practised the methodology developed by Luís Otávio Burnier.
In 2015, Butoh entered my life and profoundly transformed my understanding of art and existence. Through the work of Kazuo Ohno and Tatsumi Hijikata, I encountered the depth and expressive power of Butoh not only as an artistic language, but also as a way of life. Over time, what began as research has become a guiding philosophy, shaping how I perceive movement, presence, expression, and the human experience.
Butoh is a Japanese dance form that emerged in the 1950s. It is a practice that works from the inside out, functioning as an active meditation and a process of self-knowledge. In Butoh, the body becomes an instrument of poetry, subjectivity, and transformation, inviting a deep immersion into one’s inner landscape.
Within Butoh, there is the concept of ma, the space in between, referring to invisible and empty spaces where matter cannot be seen, yet which are filled with life and presence. This understanding resonates with aspects of Buddhist philosophy, offering a sensitive invitation to experience oneself, the surrounding space, nature, and life with greater awareness and openness.
