I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (music and language) through private online or in-person lessons. I started giving private lessons to children at their homes when I lived in Germany. During the 2022-2023 academic year, I taught piano to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia). I studied piano and other instruments for over 15 years at the UGDA and the Luxembourg City Conservatory. After many years of solfège and piano, I obtained the Conservatory's "Première Mention" certificate with the highest possible grade, "Très Bien". A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student. Alberto is an excellent teacher: professional, focused, and fun. He takes the training seriously but keeps the atmosphere light and engaging with a great sense of humor. Benoit is a natural teacher and I think has the rare quality to empathise with his students. So whether he is teaching young children, bright adults or struggling grown ups like myself he can sense your difficulties and intuitively develop your skills. I found his manner easy, engaging and with just the right amount of challenge to make you feel progress and confident. To my surprise we spent the first half hour conversing in French.
