“ I’ve wanted to learn Japanese for a long time, but as a native English speaker it can feel like quite a daunting language to take on. Having one-to-one lessons with a native Japanese speaker has made such a difference. Kokoro is incredibly friendly, patient and approachable. She really listens, not just to what I’m trying to say, but also to how I’m saying it, and she corrects my pronunciation and mistakes in a way that is always positive, encouraging and genuinely helpful. I never feel embarrassed about getting something wrong, which makes it much easier to learn and ask questions. I’ve probably bombarded her with questions about the Japanese language and why certain things are said or written in particular ways, but she has always been happy to explain them and takes the time to make sure I understand. I genuinely enjoy my lessons with Kokoro and look forward to them. Learning Japanese is certainly a challenge, but having her guidance makes it feel much more achievable and enjoyable. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking to learn Japanese. ”
