I'm Arthur I play the clarinet, bass clarinet and tenor saxophone professionally, in addition to having worked as an arranger, musical director and, of course, teacher. I have extensive experience teaching both clarinet and saxophone as well as musical language, modern harmony, improvisation, auditory education, combos and I have directed student groups such as big bands, brass bands and wind ensembles. I have also taught workshops such as the 4 editions of the "Ibiza Jazz Improvisation Seminar", the "Improvisation for Symphonic Instruments" workshop at the Amaniel Professional Conservatory or "How to Study from Listening to Music" at The Center for Arts and Music Moderna of Malaga and in the Association of Friends of Jazz of Granada.

I am Mara, a clarinetist trained at the Oreste Camarca Professional Conservatory, where I obtained my professional clarinet degree. I am currently completing my degree in History and Science of Music and Music Technology at the Autonomous University of Madrid, which allows me to combine instrumental practice with a broad and contemporary view of music, blending performance, analysis, and musical creativity. We will offer personalized lessons tailored to each student's level and needs, based on the goals we set together. This includes both music theory and instrument playing. We will learn to read music and scores, understand the clarinet, its sound, fingering, breathing, and basic technique... focusing on the music and style that interests us most to fully enjoy it, always respecting each person's learning pace. Music is a form of expression, knowledge, and enjoyment... it doesn't matter how old you are, but how much you want to learn, discover your instrument, and love music. Every student is unique, and my goal is to guide you on your journey so you can find your own sound, gain confidence, and enjoy the experience. ​Throughout her years studying performance, Maya has created a studio of young clarinetists. In her studio, she fosters a supportive environment where young musicians can develop their skills and express their creativity. Through personalized lesson plans and encouragement, Maya helps each student reach their full potential, instilling a love for music that lasts a lifetime. Maya is an accomplished clarinetist hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a deep passion for both chamber and orchestral music. She completed Masters Degree at Bard Conservatory where she studied with NY Philharmonic Clarinetist, Pascual Martinez Forteza and renowned soloist, David Krakauer. She has performed in venues such as Orchestra Hall and the Kennedy Center. As a soloist, Maya performed the Weber Clarinet Concerto no.1 with string orchestra in 2018. She has performed with various esteemed ensembles, including The Orchestra Now (TON), The Bard Conservatory Orchestra, The Phillippsburg Academy Orchestra, The Northern Lights Festival Orchestra, The Saluzzo Opera Academy Orchestra, and The University of Minnesota Orchestra.

Practice & Progress: We’ll set achievable goals each week, and I’ll give you tips on how to practice efficiently. Progress happens over time, and I’ll be there to support and motivate you along the way. Music Theory and Sight-Reading: In addition to learning how to play, we’ll also cover music theory and sight-reading to help you better understand the music and become a more well-rounded musician. Graduated with a Master's degree in clarinet from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, a Didactic Master's degree in clarinet and a didactic master's degree in musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, I propose to give you lessons at all levels of clarinet and/or musical training. I also offer piano lessons to beginner students. I am available every day and move to your home at your convenience. Depending on the level and age of the students, the duration of my classes vary between 30 minutes, 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes.
