About Me

For as long as I can remember, from my elementary school years, I have always found pleasure in helping my classmates. Growing up, this passion remained intact and I hesitated for a long time between my current career and a career as a professor. I gave my first little lesson at the age of 18, for a neighbor's daughter. And that was already for math and science! I have always been more attracted to science, and the math required to enjoy it.
After a break linked to my professional career, I come back stronger and more motivated than ever to give private lessons!

I focus particularly on the secondary school years, in maths and science, although I have no objection to broadening this scope if requested. I also helped a first year university student.
I particularly like chemistry and physics. I have less interest in biology because I find that it requires less understanding and more memorization, even if I fully respect those who are passionate about it.
For math, I am more attracted to algebraic subjects than geometric ones. But we must be able to give keys even in areas that attract us less, this is an essential strength for a good teacher!

I had 2 notable role models during my secondary school education. A 2nd year science teacher and a 4th to 6th year chemistry teacher.
The first truly “hooked” me on science, through his passion and his way of teaching, both rigorous and humorous.
The second made me passionate about chemistry, also equally rigorous and humorous.
I pay tribute to them by giving my private lessons, drawing inspiration from their way of doing things.

To be a good expert in my field, you must be open-minded and know how to constantly question yourself, both about your knowledge and your way of teaching. A teacher who is content to maintain what he has learned will always end up declining and will give way to another person who will be looking for new skills.
