Looking to grow as a guitarist and musician? Whether you’re starting out, or stuck beneath a musical “glass ceiling”, I offer fully personalized lessons mainly for intermediate but also to beginner level guitarists. I will be happy to discuss your or your child's needs and craft a course with you!

If you’re an intermediate player, here’s the steps:

- We’ll find out your level and current blocking points ⚠️
- We’ll carve a path together, targeting your weak spots (do you miss scales? modes? extended chords? arrangement theory? melodic development? and countless more)
- We’ll create material together, based on your ideas or ideas that I will provide you ✏️
- You’ll become an all-around player that can create ideas, express them clearly, and elaborate them tastefully, while improvising in real-time. 🤘

If you’re a beginner player of any age:

- We’ll figure out your vision (what do you listen to, and what would you like to sound like)
- We’ll start with basic but engaging material, so that you reach base musicality as fast as possible. You’d be surprised how creative you can become with a couple of constraints and a bit of engagement!
- We’ll slowly introduce the theory that sits behind your vision, the material, and your playing
- You’ll develop intuition on the instrument and fluid playing in your preferred genre: The world is now your oyster 🤘

I'm George, a guitarist and engineer based in Brussels. I've been playing guitar for 20 years, having gotten my first lessons in Blues and rock when I was 13 years old. I've played in many bands, played various shows, collaborated with many musicians in Greece, Canada and Belgium, and I've released tens of guitar-based or electronic songs.

After 6 years of guitar lessons in Blues rock and Jazz, I've continued exploring what's possible with the instrument on my own for the last 15 years; And I'm still learning everyday.

For the last 2 years I have been consolidating my own guitar method, basically content and systems fused by leaders in the field such as Joe Satriani, Pat Metheny, Tosin Abasi and more. I play in many genres, with Rock, Metal, Blues, Ambient and Fingerstyle being my main strengths.

Often considered a tiresome burden, music theory is to music what grammar is to language. It is a tool, a code that allows us to understand how our language works. Whether you're using words or notes, it's the same!
This is why it is important to learn music theory pragmatically, keeping in mind that it is here to help us understand different musical languages, not at all to impose strict rules. In fact, it would be unthinkable to learn the grammar of a language without ever seeing its relevance in everyday practice!

About me:
As a 25 year old pianist / drummer / composer / sound engineer / electronic producer / DJ, I offer my help to learn music theory and solfeggio, both in harmony and rhythm.
Currently a 3rd year student in Sound at INSAS, I studied musicology at ULB, and I practice music on a daily basis, whether as a pianist (improvisation, composition, learning jazz and classical pieces) or as a sound engineer and beatmaker.
Some information about my musical background:
- currently in my last year of piano studies (academy of Etterbeek)
- member of the jazz ensemble of the Forest academy (2nd year)
- regular concerts and composition in MAO (computer assisted music) for 7 years (mainly hip-hop)
- 7 years of private drum lessons + Brazilian percussion lessons (batucada)
- completed musical training (Etterbeek Academy, 4 years)
- 3 years of music writing and analysis courses in academy
- solo DJ as well as for a hip-hop group
- recording and mixing as a sound engineer as part of my studies and outside: music, cinema, sound creation, etc

The course:
Depending on your wishes and / or needs, we can orient the course towards different facets of music theory. Whether it's harmony, rhythm, analysis or sight-reading; whether your objective is knowledge, composition, improvisation or the practice of an instrument, I can adapt to you!
The first lesson is usually dedicated to assessing the student's level of knowledge and skills, and to establish together a draft programme for the following lessons.
The idea is to progress at your own pace, in a good mood!

This course is mainly intended for people starting out in music.

My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist.
All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist.
I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
In what consist my lessons?
Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument.
To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you.
As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you!
For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals!
Classes can be in person at your house or mine (BRUSSELS, BELGIUM) or via videocall (Skype, Zoom, etc). The schedules are planned according to the time of the student and the teacher.

You can also become one of the hundreds of new piano players! Individual piano lessons taught by a graduated pianist Kristina with over then 10 years of experience in successfully teaching beginners and 'muziekliefhebbers' of all age groups and preparing students for entrance exams (Hochschule fur Musik Koln), piano competitions (Steinway piano competition), now in Brussels in Quartier Royale! I focus on giving saxophone lessons to people with a solid or basic foundation who wants to improve or start improvising. This course is especially for those who feel stagnant in improving their music skills. I will actively analyse your areas for improvement and provide personal guidance and methods. I am very aware that each person thinks differently while improvising: personal exercises are given, depending on your needs.

Applied music theory lessons are a support of this class. I integrate chord theory into practical saxophone lessons, making a key connection between ear and theory.

I started playing classical saxophone, and I am currently a Jazz saxophone student at the conservatory of Brussels. Switching to Jazz made me analyse my own behaviour in improvising, which I find a crucial step in development.

Posture and comfort with the instrument are the foundation for playing the guitar. I often make the connection with other musical instruments such as percussion, wind instruments and singing.

Separating and understanding the roles of the two hands is another important step in the course. One hand plays the rhythm and the other plays the notes on the fretboard. There are many exercises to develop the knowledge and skills of both hands.

Giovanna raised and formed in Florence, where she began her guitar studies at the age of five at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. In September, she graduated cum laude and she's currently enrolled in the Master’s program at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, studying with Antigoni Goni.

Winner of many international competitions, she performed plenty of times in Italy and in 2023 she has held a solo concert in Milan for the XXXVIII Società Umanitaria's concerts season. Next to renowned guitarists, such as Luigi Attademo and Giorgio Albiani, she performed the world premiere of Álvaro Company’s Concert Català for ten guitars, in the revision by Vincenzo Saldarelli.

Alongside her performing activity, Giovanna has developed a strong dedication to teaching adults, children, and teenagers. She tailors each learning path to the individual student, carefully balancing personal interests with technical and artistic development, whether for amateur musicians or students preparing for conservatory admission. Her teaching approach places particular emphasis on physical awareness and well-being, guiding students toward healthy and efficient use of the body while playing. Music theory is fully integrated into her lessons and is always connected to practical application on the instrument.
