Hello everyone !
My name is Léa, I am a classical singer, mezzo-soprano from France, I recently graduated from Geneva High School of Music with a Master in Vocal Performance and relocated in Berlin.
I give singing lessons for beginners and intermediate level, I am passionate about voice and teaching. I adapt to your own needs, goals, repertoire you want to work on, and I am here to help you grow as an artist and to develop your vocal potential. My work is to help you sing as freely as possible, with a healthy voice and connect to your instrument, project your voice with less efforts.
My approach is build on the tools I have learned throughout the years, on my experience and academic training. A typical lesson includes: exercices to warm up the voice and our body, vocalises, body awareness, vocal technique, diction, and work on one or several pieces, interpretation. A vocal coaching session is your moment, I am dedicated to your progress and for you to have fun while singing.

J'enseigne car j'aime transmettre mon savoir, ma culture, ma langue maternelle. Je suis investie, attentive à ce que ma méthode corresponde à l'étudiant (e) et soit la plus efficace possible. Je fonctionne en m'adaptant aux besoins des élèves, en répondant à leurs attentes et en se fixant des objectifs ensembles.
J'aime varier les méthodes et exercices afin que les cours soient toujours interactifs, dynamiques et qu'il y ai du plaisir à apprendre et travailler. J'aime éveiller la curiosité des étudiants à qui j'enseigne et leur donner les outils pour être autonomes. J'utilise des supports très variés

Mon parcours: j'ai suivi une classe préparatoire littéraire pendant deux années (hypokhâgne - khâgne) avant de faire une licence puis un Master en Langues et Cultures Étrangères spécialité Anglophone. J'ai également enseigné le français en tant qu'assistante de langues étrangères pendant un an en Angleterre dans un établissement scolaire.

I have different kind of lessons:

1. Face-to-face lessons of modern singing

Modern singing: technique, improvisation and repertoire
The face-to-face classes take place at a studio in Prenzlauer Berg and are mainly aimed at adults and teenagers who want to learn music. They have a duration of 50 minutes.

In singing classes, breathing and vocal technique are worked through warm-up exercises, always with the aim of working the voice in a healthy and correct way. My classes are mainly focused on the repertoire of the student’s preferred style, which can be pop, soul, jazz, blues, bossa nova, tango and bolero, among others. Each style is worked differently and with the appropriate resources to lead to a good interpretation.

Both for warm-up and repertoire I usually accompany the student on the piano. Depending on the style sometimes I may work with karaokes. I also teach a good use of the microphone, to fight stage panic and to enjoy a performance on stage. The singing lessons are aimed at people of any level, from beginners to advanced, even to someone who is preparing an exam for an upper grade of modern music.

My main objective is above all that the student feels motivated, and not under pressure. For me it is very important that the student enjoys music and the music lessons.

2. Initiation to piano: modern harmony and auditory education

The piano lessons are aimed primarily at beginners. My intention is mainly to prepare my piano students so that they can later develop a more advanced style with a teacher whose main instrument is the piano. For this, I start with basic exercises for a good hand technique and with simple songs so that the student learns to read music. For those who already have a basic level, I start directly with scales and chords, mostly focusing on teaching songs in modern harmony. The main objective is the motivation of the student, avoiding pressure. For me it is very important that the student enjoys music and the music lessons.

3. Modern singing on-line lessons

Modern singing on-line classes: technique, improvisation and repertoire
Like face-to-face classes, online lessons last 50 minutes. They are also aimed at adults and teenagers who want to learn music and find virtual classes more comfortable, for whatever reason.

The lessons are given through a virtual meeting app, either Jitsi or Zoom. They are similar to those in the classroom, with the difference that a little more time is devoted to the repertoire than to the technique.

I consider of great importance that the student enjoys the lessons also in this case and does not lose motivation.

I can guide your vocal training with technical and interpretative aspects of your favorite genre. The lessons are 45 minutes long. At the beginning we do some warm-up exercises and vocal techniques, then we will listen and learn from the repertoire we chose together to best improve your vocals. They must be songs that you like and that are challenging enough to excel your learning to the next level of difficulty.

For children between 4 and 6 years old, the classes are 35 minutes long. Through games or small choreographies, I intend to reinforce their attention span while they develop their hearing, musical memory, intonation, and rhythm, working to make sure the classes are dynamic and fun.
