My lessons are designed for people of all ages and levels . My goal is to help the students develop their abilities, create a functional violin technique and enjoy the music making process while adjusting to each individual. The lessons are conducted in English and Greek!

The students need to have their own violin. In case the student is a beginner and doesn't own one, we could arrange a meeting (skype call) in order to discuss about purchasing an instrument.

I started playing the violin at the age of 7. For more than 20 years I have focused on different aspects of the violin technique. Other than my classical violin training, I have had private Alexander Technique and Somatics for Musicians Lessons.

Going through different experiences I learned how to be more open minded towards learning and evolving through education. This is why I am focusing on creating a pleasant environment and adjusting to each student, so they can progress and enjoy the music making.

Education

- Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts University for the Arts) - Bachelor Degree (2018)
- Orfeio Conservatory of Athens - Violin Diploma (A Grade and Award) ( 2012)

Expérience / Qualifications

In 2012 I received my violin diploma in Greece with grade A and in 2018 I received my Bachelor's degree in Classical Violin from the Rotterdam Conservatory, where I was studying with Igor Gruppman and Vesna Gruppman.

As a performer I have appeared as a soloist in concert halls and at the National Radio Station in Greece.
As a member of orchestras I have played under the direction of conductors such as Valerie Gergiev and Yannick Nezet - Sequin in the Rotterdam Concert Hall (De Doelen).
I am currently a member of the "Greek Radio Television Symphony Orchestra" and a founding member of the "Quadrivium" string quartet.

Welcome to my online Piano Class.
I am Maria, and I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from zero to the top.
I love all student levels, but only towards the CLASSICAL piano, of any eras' works and composers.
Don't be afraid, my lesson is human-friendly 😊
Everything goes step by step! Outside the lesson time, I send you lots of short videos to support your practice through the week.

As each student is different, I focus on each ones' needs and I am always creative in helping you learn through the simplest ways - "if it's easy, it's correct", that's my motto!
My greatest happiness is to watch my students grow, overcome any limit and expand in full potential!

As a result, many of my students have won top prizes at major international competitions, as the IBLA Grand Prize, the Spoleto International Piano Competition, the Bach au Jazz (Lilia Boyadjieva) International Piano Competition and many others. And also, at renown online competitions, as The Royal, the IYMC, the Forte Academy, and many-many others.
So, in case you need a competition or exam preparation, here you are at the right place!
I will help you discover the advanced piano technique, and the ways to achieve your best musical interpretation. Also, very important, I'll help you understand and approach each composers' unique style, and, also, secure your concert / stage presence, with simple and effective solutions for memorisation and control.

I am a very proud piano teacher, as on Jan 11 2026 four young students of mine were awarded by the renown American Competition "The Royal Foundation" and were invited and performed at a Gala at the Carnegie Hall in New York City! Also, these kids were invited to participate to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons, a fabulous chance and experience that I wish all young pianists could have!

On Sept 1st 2024 three awarded students of mine were invited to perform at The DiMenna Classical Centre of Music in Manhattan, from another American competition, the International Youth Music Competition.

I wish I can always bring such great opportunities and successes to all of my "piano kids"!

- Qualified Violin and Music Theory Τeacher offers private lessons to beginners or advanced students or to anyone who wishes to learn the art of the instrument. Primary goal of my teaching is to cultivate an understanding and appreciation for Music, through an instrument that has a leading role in many different genres. Through training in technical as well as in artistic/aesthetic aspect, I focus on those details that will create a pleasant and fruitful "interaction" with the violin for each student.

I am a trained classical singer from Berlin, but I would like to install myself in Athens. In class, we will build your vocal technique with which you can sing about anything you'd like. As a yoga teacher, I focus on a holistic approach to singing using also yogic tools to improve technique and performance. In the second half of class, we will build a repertoire that you'd like to sing and implement the technique into it.

Besides singing I play the violin and piano. I can teach them up to an intermediate level.

I have 5 years of experience with all three subjects. Privately and in a music school located in Berlin

The older I get, the more I love. Especially during these times of immense ugliness and hate, wars and conflict, music- that's always been all about love - is the home I keep returning to. To me, mentoring someone is all about sharing the love for the instrument, thirst about the material, desire to explore new musical paths and respect for whatever happens whilst playing.

Not only we will explore technical paths and understand rhythm under a totally different light but also communicate through improvisation and modal principles. My goal is for you to love the instrument a bit more, music a bit more and as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said "Perhaps love is the process of my leading you gently back to yourself".
So let's explore together the painstakingly beautiful process of music through the inner child.
