Meanwhile, I have gained experience in tutoring children from early years up to year 6 in a range of areas. From phonics to SATs preparation to 11+ entrance exams, I'll do my best to boost your child's confidence. I believe that children should develop a love for learning and enjoy exploring the National Curriculum, within what should be a naturally creative environment. All children that I work with have commented on my `bubbly` and `fun` personality, thus making lessons enjoyable. I am known to sing and dance around the classroom whilst being caring and calm to those that need a more settled, black and white approach. Key skills are developed in ways that are both traditional and contemporary. For example, learning the skills of addition through teacher led modelling and application before being reinforced through games. Children should have a say in their learning journey to benefit both their understanding and experience of a topic. Communication with parents/carers and children is at the heart of my ethos. I am passionate about working with children of all ages, ensuring that they make the progress which is perfect for their ability rather than the `age expected progress`. It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class. I woulf highly recommend Phil if you are looking for a French tutor :)

After my first lesson with Benson, i have felt more confidence in my skills with chemistry than i have in many years. Where I previously felt very subconscious and unable to answer questions, i have now been able to answer difficult IB exams questions with ease. Benson provided me a safe and comfortable environment which has left me excited for my next class at school to show what i have learned with a fresh confidence!
