Trusted teacher: Often times in Math and Science subjects, students end up feeling lost because they didn't fully grasp a fundamental concept or gain enough confidence in using it. Classes often have a strict schedule to follow, which does not allow them the flexibility of revisiting concepts a student may have missed. Rather than marching on at an unstoppable pace, I place focus on figuring out what gaps in knowledge a student might have and addressing those first, to ensure their foundation is strong enough to always know what the next step is. My goal is to teach a student how to use their pre-existing knowledge to be able to analyse new concepts and to develop their problem solving and inference skills. Being able to consistently figure out what you don't know and what you can figure out is the basis of strong learning and problem solving skills, and I aim to make this approach a second nature for my students. Furthermore, knowing what inevitably needs to be memorized (and how to drill this information into your brain) and what can be easily reconstructed from a problem's given information and what you know, are, in my opinion, the cornerstones of efficient study and test-taking skills. Instilling this concept into my students' processes is another of my major goals. As for whom this class may suit: I can teach Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics from an elementary school level to the university level (depending on the exact subject), and can teach Chemistry up to the high school senior level. If you are unsure about whether a topic or class falls into this range, please feel free to message me!

Trusted teacher: I provide private tutoring in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for secondary school students (grades 1-5), CEGEP students (Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Physics) and university students, with a teaching approach adapted to each level and the specific needs of each student. Let me introduce myself: my name is Yazid, and I'm currently a student in Aerospace Engineering at ÉTS Montréal. I also hold a joint degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from ENSEEIHT (Toulouse, France), specializing in Mechatronics. Before that, I completed an intensive program in mathematics and physics in France, which allowed me to develop a rigorous work ethic and gain admission to a top engineering school. It was during this training that I discovered my passion for teaching. I started helping my classmates when they were struggling with certain courses, and I quickly realized that pedagogy is a crucial skill. Tutoring is effective because, as a former student who faced the same challenges, I know exactly how to explain complex concepts and where students might encounter difficulties. I offer in-home tutoring, either at my place or yours. I also offer online tutoring using an interactive whiteboard to explain concepts visually and dynamically. This method has proven effective, and I am comfortable adapting to each student's specific needs. I am also very flexible with scheduling to accommodate your availability and requirements. Feel free to ask me questions about my methods or my teaching approach. I do everything I can to help my students progress, and it will be a real pleasure to guide you on your journey! If you have urgent requests (such as before an exam) or if you are looking for regular tutoring, please contact me! Fabian is an excellent tutor. My daughter needed to pass the CCVX and Boswell Beta exams in Chemistry to qualify for admission at a Dutch University after having completed high school in the United States. Fabian was able to explain complex ideas in a simplified manner and created a comfortable learning environment for my daughter to thrive in. He adapted his teaching to her learning style so she was able to really engage with what was being taught. The result was her successfully passing both exams this summer and subsequently being admitted to the university. She is now in her first semester at the university and feeling confident and thankful for Fabian's support in getting her there!

Julien helped me learn the material for my university statistics exams. He was very patient and gave very clear explanations about the concepts we were discussing. He was friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging. He prepared material in advance for each lesson depending on my personal needs. I'm pleased to say he helped me succeed in my final exams despite the fact that I'd never really studied statistics before! I am very glad I chose him as my tutor and I recommend him to anyone else seeking mathematics or statistics tutoring, whether in person or remotely.

Alan is a very friendly and knowledgeable teacher. He was always understanding and worked with me on my weak areas to improve my SAT score. Alan helped me score above my target score in both math and English. He provided his own material and took the time to work on assignments that were unclear even outside of our class so as not to prolong the class. I highly recommend Alan as a tutor and am very glad I found him.
