I have worked teaching Spanish with students of different nationalities and different levels. They stimulate oral comprehension and pronunciation: the stories offer a context in which children can listen and understand the spoken language in a natural and authentic way. Also, by listening and repeating the words and phrases of the story, children can improve their pronunciation and intonation. 2. They help to expand vocabulary: they usually include a wide variety of words and expressions, which allows children to learn new vocabulary in a contextualized and meaningful way. 3. They develop reading comprehension: reading stories in the language that is being learned helps children develop reading comprehension skills. The stories are usually written in simple language and with a clear narrative structure, which makes it easier to understand and follow the story. 4. They encourage creativity and imagination: they offer a world of fantasy and creativity that stimulates children's imagination and helps them develop their critical and creative thinking skills. 5.
