Hello! I am offering informal, beginner's piano lessons in English for those who have little to no experience. I have studied music in the UK, completing Grade 8 (ABRSM) and A level music. I offer a patient and open minded approach to learning music and believe strongly that practice is something that should be enjoyed, not dreaded!

I have an upright piano at my home. in Wieden, Vienna or can travel to you, provided you have a piano or full sized sized keyboard. My lessons are taught in English.

I am originally from the UK and have lived in Vienna for a number of years. Besides playing piano, I enjoy painting, reading and walking in nature. Before moving to Vienna, I lived in London where I studied at university.

Opleiding

BA from UAL (University of the Arts, London).
A levels and GCSE certificates in various subjects including Music, English Language and Philosophy.
ABRSM grades in Piano and Clarinet.

Leservaring

Completed ABRSM grades and A level music, including music theory. I also previously played clarinet and am currently learning the guitar.

Hello and welcome to my music studio! It is absolutely fabulous that you are interested in music, and I hope you have lots and lots of fun with it! However, diving into the wonders of the piano/keyboard can be a bit overwhelming... and that is where I come in!
This course is for anyone from complete beginners to advanced students, from lessons that focus completely on classical music to lessons that include or focus on the basics of jazz/pop. If you like to sing, we can also work on the basics of jazz/pop vocal, so you can learn to accompany yourself at the piano.
In our lessons, technique will be an inherent part of the training, as well as analysis, basic music theory, and efficient ways of practicing music. If that all sounds good to you, then please reach out to me and we can start ASAP!
Lessons can be in English or Dutch.

So who am I?
In a nutshell, I am a professional pianist, vocalist, lyricist and blogger. Since 2014, I have taught in various music schools, teaching piano, ensemble, jazz vocal, and solfege.
On a more elaborate note, I obtained my Master of Arts in classical piano, summa cum laude, at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (KASK) in 2017, and studied as a Fulbrighter at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington USA during the 2019-2020 academic year.
Every day, I strive to become a better musician and person, and I aim to transfer that passion to my students.
