I started my education at Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music (London), where I studied with James Sleigh for five years. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the National Youth Strings Academy. I the studied my Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London), where I studied with Andriy Viytovych. I have a Masters of Music from Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance (London), studying under Roger Chase, and a Masters in Fine Art from Gothenburg University (Sweden) with Øvyor Volle (Vertavo Quartet). I also studied in the USA at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Chicago College of Performing Arts.
I work as a professional viola player across the UK and Scandinavia, with such orchestras as Swedish Radio Orchestra, Stockholm Philharmonic, Bergen, Norwegian Radio, Gothenburg Symphony, Norrkoping Symphony, Jonkoping Sinfonietta, Aarhus Symphony, and English National Ballet Philharmonic. I am also a music arranger and transcriber.
I can give lessons once or twice a week. Please note that twice a week does allow for fast progression.
Lessons can be at my home in Stockholm, or online.
Although I live in Sweden, I only teach in English.

I have dedicated myself to perfecting my art under the guidance of internationally renowned artists and I have performed in chamber music groups as well as in orchestra and as a soloist throughout Europe, United States and Japan.

Thao is a successful performing pianist and teacher, who is working internationally across Europe.
Thao grew up in Warsaw (Poland) where she started the piano and studied at the Chopin Academy. Thao also studied at the Manhattan School of Music (New York, USA), and the Royal College of Music (London, UK). As a performing pianist, Thao has performed recitals and concerts in Poland, the USA, UK, Sweden, and Vietnam.

I am currently studying classical piano at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Before that, I lived in Estonia, where I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degree in classical piano performance, I also have a degree in psychology and in future, I hope to combine those interests in music therapy. In my lessons I like to combine the best traditions of teaching classical music with jazz or pop -- I think the student will benefit from knowing a wider range of repertoire and styles, but individual program will be compiled by the student's wishes. I like to integrate music theory in a natural way, so it will simplify the process of learning to play the piano. The working language of the lessons is English (or Swedish or Estonian). If you are an aspiring singer or musician looking to increase your knowledge of music theory and performance confidence you are in the right place!
I have just completed my music degree where I specialised in contemporary classical singing and opera. I have experience singing jazz, pop and musical theatre and have completed one year on a Vocal Studies course at a Music Conservatoire. I have Grade VIII in Violin and Classical Voice, Grade VI in piano and Pop and Jazz Vocals and recently achieved a 1st for my final degree recital and composition. The techniques that you gain from classical training can be applied to all genres and give a strong foundation to be able to perform any music you may be interested in. I can also offer help with music theory and shape what I teach to meet your interests and goals. I aim to help you truly love music and gain confidence in your performance and musicianship skills in a safe and encouraging environment. No matter what level/ability you are we will improve your skills and confidence in singing and have lots of fun whilst doing so!

I offer instrumental lessons for piano and Guzheng to students of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of your level of proficiency. Whether you prefer classical or pop music, you will find something that suits your taste.
I also provide lessons Western music theory ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 8, as well as Chinese music theory lessons.
