A graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (Jazz), I have been involved in music my whole life, and a freelance professional since 2022. I have worked regularly in big bands and function bands across the UK and internationally.
I am offering instrumental lessons in: saxophone (any), clarinet, flute, and bass clarinet online or in SW London (subject to availability). I offer lessons in Jazz (theory & improvisation), classical, and contemporary music.

My teaching style is based on pedagogy and focused around the student's individual creative growth. I am a professional freelance musician and alongside performing I have taught instrumental, music theory, and composition lessons privately for many years, and passing along my knowledge from experience is a great passion of mine.

Saxophone Lessons are extremely fun! The Saxophone is a great and enjoyable instrument to play. It is powerful yet soothing; beautiful sounding and relaxing instrument to enjoy. I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, moved to London and now want to share my knowledge and passion about saxophone with others!

(If you are a beginner) You will be introduced to the fundamentals of saxophone playing, note-reading and improvisation, and develop these skills as the course progresses.

What will we cover?
- Developing playing techniques: embouchure, breath control and tonguing
- Learning to play a selection of notes on the saxophone
- Studying relevant music theory and reading music for saxophone

- learning to listen and count time as you play
- Developing practice methods: long notes, scales, studies
- A range of repertoire in popular styles
- Simple improvisation.

What will I achieve?
