Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

About the Lesson

I focus on healthy technique, musicality, and effective practice habits to build confidence and avoid tension or injury. I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity exams (Grades 1–8 and Diplomas), but I also teach students who simply want to enjoy playing. My students range from age 3 to 75+, and all make meaningful progress.

Online lessons are just as effective as in-person ones. I use a professional multi-camera setup and high-quality audio so you can clearly see technique and movement. Most of my lessons (95%+) are taught online.

Curriculum

There is no single method that fits everyone, so I adapt all materials to you.

For beginners, I often use Alfred’s Basic Piano Library. For classical and jazz development, I work with ABRSM and Trinity syllabi. I’m always happy to use other methods if you prefer.

Alongside structured materials, I include music you enjoy and focus on essential skills that apply across all styles—from classical to modern music.

Hi, I'm Nikola, Your Teacher.
I wasn’t born with a gift.
At five years old, I picked up an accordion that was almost bigger than me. I didn’t know it then, but that single moment would shape the rest of my life.

Since that day, I’ve dedicated over two decades to mastering this beautiful, misunderstood instrument. And along the way, I discovered something powerful, you don’t need to be born with talent, perfect timing, or a famous last name to make music. You just need a little courage to start... and the right guide to help you along the way.

In 2020, I graduated from the prestigious ArtEZ Conservatory in The Netherlands with a degree in accordion teaching. But truth be told, most of what makes me the teacher I am today didn’t come from a classroom. It came from the stage. From competitions. From the nerves before a performance and the applause that follows. I’ve been honored to win the Dutch National Accordion Competition. Twice. But what matters more is this:

I know exactly what it feels like to think something’s too difficult.
I’ve seen students who thought they were too old, too inexperienced, or too busy. People who believed music wasn’t for them, until they realized it was.

In Oud, we will focus on:

Musical Maqams: Deepen your understanding of Arabic Maqams and how to apply them to playing. Musical Notes: Learn to read and perform notes on the oud with skill. Pick Exercises: Improve playing techniques using a pick to develop movement between the strings. Technique Exercises: Build playing skills through various exercises to improve speed and accuracy. My name is Andre. I'm a professional musician with more than 10 years living through music. Despite having Jazz as the main focus of my study and practice I've learned to love all genres and absorb each unique values and strengths. Having them integrated in the musical projects I've created or participated on. Projects which revolve around Jazz, Pop, Rock, Psychedelic, Electronic and Reggae.
Throughout my professional career I've worked with music schools and private students (+200). During this years I've encountered a plethora of different kinds of students, all levels ranging from kids to seniors and even a good quantity of autistic or down syndrome students, which always made me more and more interested in the art of teaching and helping people grow, by balancing challenge and empathy.

My lessons are characterized by a practical approach combined with a theoretical component, that always caters to the student's interests, stimulating their musical taste and creativity. For this, I like to go across the board with disciplines such as:
