Hello! I am offering tailored tuition in Drawing, Printmaking, sketching, Portfolio preparation and advice. I am a friendly practicing artist and printmaker with a degree in Fine Art and experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities. I have experience as a University Print technician where I would give practical workshops to students from Illustration and Fine art as well as more tailored one-to-one guidance. Further to this I currently work in a large FE college group where I create and deliver Printmaking classes online that are designed for people to achieve success in printmaking at home, without access to specialist facilities.

Whether you are looking to hone your skill or start developing a new one I can offer tuition tailored to what you want to work on. I am also available to offer advice on portfolio preparation and development for application to Art Schools/University at both Postgraduate and Undergraduate level. Having been through the entire undergraduate process and now going on to start a postgraduate degree in a London Art school I can offer advice on statements and interview preparation too.

The course will be tailored to what you want and need to help you develop your practice. At the moment to follow restrictions I am offering online courses only so a laptop/acess to a computer with a webcam and microphone would be ideal.

About Me

I am a practicing Artist and Printmaker with a Degree in Fine Art. I have experience teaching students from a range of ages and abilities. I worked as a Print technician within a university where I helped students from Ilustration and Fine art learn about various processes of print, including in depth one-to-one guidance for those with developing ideas. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)

Fashion design can feel overwhelming when you are trying to build a portfolio, apply to university, improve your fashion projects or create your own collection. You may have strong ideas, but not know how to turn them into clear research, professional drawings, a commercial range or work that looks ready for the fashion industry.

I am an industry fashion designer with experience across womenswear, youthwear, jersey, leisurewear, casualwear, partywear, graphics, product development and commercial collection building. I currently work in supplier-side fashion design, developing trend-led product for major high-street retail. I have also worked across girlswear, boyswear, menswear, luxury swimwear and private luxury collection development for high-profile clients.

In these lessons, I can help you understand how fashion design works in the real industry. The classes are designed for beginners and intermediate students who really want to improve, but don't know where to start or need a solid foundation.

Each class contains a theoretical part that will then be put into practice through exercises and development of ideas, in order to better internalize the concepts and learn to apply them correctly.

This course focuses primarily on the first four pillars and not so much on isolated technical drawing. The goal is to understand how a manga functions as a complete work and how to make all its elements work together.

At the end of the course, all the knowledge learned will be combined to create your own short manga or one-shot.
