Hi, I'm Laura, I'm a cellist and I love to share my musical knowledge with other people. I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. I have played the violin for over 20 years and am currently doing a master ́s of music in violin. Music is my passion, I have been teaching violin for 5 years, in music schools as well as privately from the ages of 7 to 60. My aim in teaching is to enable the student to experience the beauty, richness and also the fun side of music, by helping to develop the technical skills needed to express oneself on the violin. I find it very important to take into account the personal goals and wishes of the student and to create an atmosphere of encouragement, creativity and mutual understanding. No matter if you are interested in learning to play your favourite tunes just for fun or want to build up strong, solid technique and play demanding repertoire, I would be happy to work with you.The world of music is incredibly rich and I would love to help you on the exciting journey of discovering it. I believe it important to have variety in the process of learning and to help the student to develop good practising habits. For those interested, I can also gladly include some music theory/music history knowledge in the lessons, to understand the pieces on a more profound level. I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. The lessons are adapted to each student's needs and wishes.

Music Remote - Lesson Planning As more of our students are coming online to do their piano lessons, the lesson format will now develop accordingly. This scheme will ensure all your needs are met but will also require assistance from parents to ensure the correct equipment is available to the children at home who are having online lessons with us. Please refer to the equipment list provided which may be gradually adjusted and added to. This will ensure the teaching process is conducted as smoothly as possible. For students aged 6 & over, studying up to their grade 3 piano exam, lessons on zoom will be 30 minutes one to one. Parents are encouraged to observe their childrens music lessons. This class is intended for those who have little to no experience with music theory, but would like to start. You will learn how to read notes on a grand staff, how to identify different key signatures, the units used to measure rhythm and time, and other basics of music theory.

I’m a sound engineer, music producer, and DJ with a degree from Point Blank Music School (London) and more hours logged at Le Zéro Studio in Brussels than I care to admit. I’ve produced, mixed, and mastered across genres — from rap to electronic to “what the hell is this but it slaps.” I'm also working on my solo project, if you want to check the proof in the pudding ("imyraj" on all platforms). Classes will cover the following: - Music production on Ableton Live 10, 11 & 12 or lite, if you are a beginner. We can go all the way from the basics of the DAW to music theory, creative sound design, sound engineering, mixing, and mastering, depending on your level. - DJing Dj classes will cover everything from preparing your tracks, beat-matching, creative FX, sampling, and understanding what makes a set flow. All genres are welcome, we can practice on your favourite genre! Software used: Rekordbox or Serato DJ DJing will be taught on the brand new Pioneer Alpha Theta GRV-6.
