I offer personalized lessons for children and adults. I'm open to your suggestions for pieces, your preferences, and the styles that suit you best! (Classical music, jazz, film music, pop, rock, etc.) Convinced of the importance of theoretical foundations (particularly music theory and harmony), it is possible to integrate them into the courses so that students develop with solid foundations. This then allows us to understand music in its entirety, around a rich and varied repertoire. Having also studied improvised music at the Paris Conservatory and being a musician in several groups, I would be happy to be able to share my experience around musical creation as well as in the development of improvisation. A little more about my background: A graduate of the Paris Conservatory, I had the chance to work alongside many exciting pianists and teachers, such as Denis Pascal, Pascal Amoyel, Rena Shereshevskaya and in improvised music Paul Lay and Emil Spányi, who were able, throughout my career, to bring me into musical research and maintain this taste for the instrument. Being attracted by musical creation, as well as composition, I was also able to study harmony, arrangement, music theory and composition at the Rueil-Malmaison conservatory in the Paris region. Alongside my musical projects as a classical and jazz pianist and musical composition, I devote myself to my passion for educational transmission.

Trained at the conservatory, I offer piano lessons for beginners and intermediate students, with an approach that is both educational and fun. My goal is to help each student learn to play the piano from a score, while integrating music theory lessons throughout the lessons. Each class is designed to be enjoyable and motivating, especially for children: I ensure that music remains a pleasure, adapting the pieces to the tastes and level of the student. Through progressive exercises and gentle learning, I give them confidence on the keyboard while developing their musical ear and their independence. I base my lessons on the alliance between learning music theory and practicing the instrument. This allows for more interactive teaching. My lessons are usually 1 hour long; or even 1 hour 30 minutes depending on the relative intensity of each person. I am demanding with my students but without pressure. I want to teach this discipline to make it a passionate discipline. I am a student in a double music-studies course. I started music when I was 5 and participated in international competitions. I had the honor of participating in important regional concerts in France and Tunisia. Having obtained 2 diplomas recognized by the Royal Schools of Music, I want to pursue my passion which is to teach ambitious young people and to make them as passionate as me.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. As a soloist and as part of the orchestra I have played concerts and participate in national and international competitions in Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Russia, Germany, France and Austria. Hello, I am Hyunshin, a Pianist from South Korea. I majored in Piano Performance and completed my Bachelor's degree in Korea and a Master's degree in Germany. And I completed my Postgraduate at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels.
