Alejandro - Ghent50€
Trusted teacher: English below* Hello everybody! My name is Alejandro. I am a professional classical pianist with a bachelor and two master degrees (one in the conservatory of Ghent "classic piano performance master" and another in Spain "teaching master"). At the moment I am also studying another master classical fortepiano in the Conservatory of Amsterdam. I have a lot of experience teaching in various music schools, professional academies and also privately. I have given piano concerts in several countries such as Spain, England, Italy and Belgium, so I am quite open minded in my teaching and I try to adapt my experience abroad to all types of students. I mainly teach in English, Dutch and Spanish. My lessons are focused on the individual needs of the student, taking into account what each student has to improve. Enjoying music is the most important goal in my teaching method. I can mainly teach in the student house, but I have my own keyboard in my home in Ghent Center. Online is also an option (I also have experience with this way of working). I am always available for students to send questions or doubts during the week! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. // Hello everyone! My name is Alejandro. Tullia - Amsterdam50€
Trusted teacher: My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory. I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams. As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house. My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises. With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement. I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level. Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same. Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can play them.

Ciryl - Geneva33€
Trusted teacher: I offer tutoring courses in History and Geography, with a multidisciplinary opening that appeals to sociology, international relations or literature. The content of the courses is adapted to the level of the learner, to his specializations and to his needs. Having learned the scientific method, I am ready to open the field of my knowledge to desired spaces and periods. The course is aimed at high school or undergraduate students. In an associative context, I have already had the pleasure of helping students in their school careers, of adapting my method and my approach to different personalities. What I think is most important is to provide real support by instilling a passion for history and geography. Two human sciences in constant renewal! Of Swiss nationality, I am a student at the University of Geneva, in the master's Russia - Middle Europe of the GSI (Global Studies Institute), a multidisciplinary course which attracts geopolitics and contemporary history on a given space: the ex. USSR. A territory that I had the opportunity to explore as part of my internships and my field research with two international research institutes (IFEAC in Kyrgyzstan and CEFRES in Prague). I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in history (obtained with honors) and a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Planning (mention A. Bien) from the University of La Rochelle. Involved in several associations (Relai handicap de l'Université, AFEV), I had the opportunity to provide personalized academic support to enthusiastic students.

French as a Foreign Language (FLE) Lessons – All Levels (Ixelles-Elsene)
Nana
rating star
rating green star
Nana is an excellent and fun teacher. I can really recommend her to anybody who wants to improve their French. I wanted to gain confidence in speaking French, so we chose the format of going for walks in different parts of Brussels. This way we had conversations whilst also exploring the city beyond the well-trodden paths. Nana is a perfect match if you want to leave the expat bubble and meet some real Belgians. But she is also fluent in English and has teaching experience abroad. If I couldn’t think of a word in French I would just use the English one and she would translate. As the weather gets colder, we will have to adapt our method, but I’m sure that will work out. I am looking forward to my next lesson with Nana.

Vincent

rating green star
If you would like to feel more confident in singing, improve the tone of your voice and learn some good (breathing) techniques, Vincent is the teacher to turn to. Vincent is an excellent and skilled teacher, who will take the time to tailor the lesson to your personal needs. I can highly recommend taking singing lessons with Vincent - aside from being professional, he is patient and empathetic.

Francesca

We were super happy with Francesca ́s lesson! She is such an amazing musician! Also, she really listened to what we wanted to learn and distilled a very complex music piece into something we, absolute beginners, could learn in a short time. We had a lot of fun during the lesson. I would definitely recommend booking a harp lesson with Francesca ! :)
