Hey, My name is Max I am 20 years old and a second-year medical student here in Riga. I was born and raised in Bavaria in Germany. The last two years of high school I spent in a Boarding School in Waterford in Ireland. Where I successfully graduated in the summer of 2019. Then in summer 2020, I moved to Riga where I am currently studying medicine in English. Teaching languages especially has always been a passion for me. I find it important to create a space where the student feels comfortable to speak, write and learn without being judged for mistakes. I found it quite challenging when I first moved to Ireland to speak English because I was afraid of making mistakes but that is what stops the whole learning process. In my opinion, the easiest way to learn a language is to speak openly and freely and listen to try to understand more and more and more. I have seen clear improvements with a few Latvian friends who just speak English with me. I don't even teach them just the simple fact that they speak English for a few hours a week makes a huge difference and goes a long way in learning English. If the goal is to be able to speak and understand English better then casual chats and conversations about interesting topics are all you going to need. If you want to improve your grade in school a little bit then a bit of grammar would be good, but most of it is learned by speaking and listening. English is not a hard language to learn, the pronunciation is quite simple and straightforward. Grammar is a lot easier than Latvian, German, or French.

Learning a new language can feel like trying to read IKEA instructions—backwards. But don’t worry, I’m here to make it simple, practical, and even a little fun (yes, even grammar!). Whether you’re just starting or you’ve been ghosting Duolingo for months (we’ve all been there), this class is for real people who want to actually speak Chinese or English in daily life. 🗣️ What you’ll get: • Real conversation practice – no robot-sounding textbook stuff • Useful words and phrases (like how to say “I’m lost” and “Where’s the bathroom?”—top priorities!) • Pronunciation help so people actually understand you • Cultural tips so you don’t accidentally insult someone’s grandmother • 1-on-1 lessons, so it’s all about you Whether you’re trying to order hotpot in Mandarin without burning your tongue 🔥, or finally want to say something in English other than “Hello, my name is...” – this class is your safe, supportive space. 🧠 Bonus: We’ll laugh through the mistakes (yes, tones in Chinese can betray you 😅), celebrate the wins (you ordered coffee in English and it wasn’t a disaster!), and help you feel like a language legend in no time. 🌱 Build Real Progress One lesson is a great start — but you’ll see real, lasting progress after a few sessions. That’s when you’ll start surprising yourself with how much you can understand and say. Think of it like planting a language seed — let’s water it together and watch it grow! 🌿 Ready? Bring your curiosity (and maybe a snack), and let’s start speaking!

Amazing Tutor for Teens - So Glad We Found Younes! I was initially hesitant about online French tutoring for my 14-year-old daughter, especially since she wasn't thrilled about starting classes in the first place. However, from the very first session with Younes, all my worries disappeared. He has an incredible ability to connect with this age group. He immediately broke the ice, made the lessons engaging, and somehow managed to get my daughter genuinely interested and actually looking forward to her next class! We've now had around 8 classes with Younes, and the difference in my daughter's confidence in school is remarkable. She's participating more in her French class and seems much more comfortable speaking and understanding the language. Younes is patient, encouraging, and clearly knows how to make learning French fun and accessible for teenagers. He creates a positive and supportive learning environment, and his passion for the language is contagious.

It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class. I woulf highly recommend Phil if you are looking for a French tutor :)

Justin is a true professional and is really gifted at helping job seekers in their career path. He assisted me a lot with career advice, job application adaptation and proofreading. He is really good at communication, reading between the lines, and highlighting the core idea. Our lessons or as I would rather call it a master class, were absolutely great and easy going. Thank you very much, Justin, for your amazing approach, custom-made professional and easy attitude, and a super international mindset. I would very much recommend it!
