Having experienced first-hand the power of dance to shape people’s perspectives, I am enthusiastic about using my professional experiences, skills, and beliefs to educate new young dancers in the techniques, movements, and experiences of dance. I am also just as enthusiastic to share that beauty and power with the community, with recreational adult classes as well. About how I teach, and why I started; I was looking for dance that was fun, liberating, and yet artistically challenging, all at the same time; I craved something that brought and demanded a more humane experience inside of the studio. My interest at the moment is to use our human experiences and bodies as they are. I’m not so interested in trying to force them into something else, but to allow that freedom to take us to whatever imaginary or fantastical place where dance should be able to take us. I believe my obligation as a dance teacher is to encourage students to have fun when dancing. It’s something that’s forgotten a lot as a budding artist, but one of the most important things for perseverance in this field. I believe that if the curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment is there, the technique will come as well because there’s a mutual belief, from both the teacher and student, in oneself. Of course to learn a variety of dance styles, be technically proficient, and pursue a personal creative expression is important, but having an experience with a group of people and letting go into imagination while allowing yourself to have fun will push a dancer even further in their artistry, I believe. To be able to be given images, sensations, feelings, etc. and have the awareness to translate them into some form of movement is an important skill as an artist and human being

Posture, Attitude, Movement is necessary in everyday life. With ballet you get introduced into a long history of classical dance and the adaption into the modern life. Still classical ballet focuses on precision, dynamics, coordination which creates a space for concentration and slow motions. From ballet your needs for ... are served. - stability - independence - space - acceptance - affection - communication - care - inclusion - mutuality - presence - respect/self-respect - stability - warmth (maybe hotness, and sweat) - awareness - challenge - discovery - groth - learning - movement/exercise - participation - stimulation - understanding - balance - order - air ( never forget to breath, even the focus is on other parts of your body, than the lung) - safety (physical), lets keep that in mind!! And get a little bit routine in the hand washing, keeping the needed distance, and if you need to go to a store afterwards or to a bigger crowd of people, I’d suggest to bring a mask (but I leave you the choice). - I wont touch you, as a consequence of the distance - but a lot of movements are learn through touch, so hope you can touch yourself for the needed correction ;-) - water (take a bottle with you to be able to drink when needed) - fun - humor - joy - relaxation - stimulation In case it is needed, I will turn to online classes.

Whether English, mathematics or dance, each course is personalized, depending on the needs and abilities of my student. The first lesson is always an assessment of the student level and the discussion of the main concentration points, particular problems, expectations etc. to benefit the most from the following course. For mathematics and English courses, I first explain the general concepts and the theory, after which we work together on the examples. Whenever possible, I try to give students a small homework assignment. As for the dance, the class starts with the warming up of the body, which depends on the personal predispositions of the pupil-one practices special steps, choreographs, improvises, stretches, etc. As a dancer, I am professionally doing contemporary dance but I mix different styles: I also dance hip-hop and breakdance, I train in ballet to always keep, I have experience in oriental dance , which interests me a lot: I am then at your disposal if it is the choice of style!
