Ik kom uit een muzikale familie. Als meisje heb ik snel autodidact blokfluit leren spelen. Op iets latere leeftijd kwamen daar ook nog piano en gitaar bij. Op jonge leeftijd was muziek een van mijn passies geworden. Later, na mijn leraresopleiding, kon ik verdere muziekopleiding niet weerstaan.
Muziek is niet alleen mijn passie, maar is voor mij ook een manier om met elkaar te communiceren. Als je niet weet hoe dit kan, je kan het wel leren.
Mijn ervaringen als lerares en muzikant waren en zijn nog steeds aan elkaar gekoppeld. Ik heb ruime ervaring opgedaan als muzieklerares en allround muzikant en dit in verschillende vakgebieden, zoals het dirigeren van koren, het opstellen en uitdragen van leerprogramma’s voor scholen, het geven van notenleer en het aanleren van instrumenten (blokfluit, keyboard/piano, gitaar).

6 - In september wil ik graag weer de lessen van Ozair bij kunnen wonen. Wegens werk is het voor mij alleen mogelijk in de herfst en winter lessen te volgen. Toen ik een paar jaar geleden met Portugese les begon, was ik benieuwd hoe het zou gaan om op mijn leeftijd een nieuwe taal te leren. Na een zeer prettige AB-1 en -2 te hebben gevolgd, heb ik vanaf AB-3, -4 en -5 mogen meedoen in de klas van Ozair. Door haar methodiek, enthousiasme, geduld en goede balans tussen grammatica en conversatie, is voor mij de liefde voor de taal en de Braziliaanse cultuur nog groter geworden. In ons groepje voelen we op ons gemak, het is gezellig bij Ozair in de klas. De klasgenoten zijn vrienden geworden en blijven contact houden, natuurlijk in het Portugees. Ozair bereidt zorgvuldig haar lessen voor met PowerPoint, met gezegdes, muziek, cultuur, grammatica gecombineerd met interactie - we hebben ruim de kans om de taal te spreken. Ik wil blijven meedoen aan toekomstige conversatielessen. Ik maak ook mijn collega gidsen bekend met een andere Taalinstituut en de zeer efficiënte cursussen en leraren. 7- Tot nu tot heb ik drie cursussen met veel plezier bij Ozair gevolgd. Ze is native Braziliaanse en ik vind het heel goed om les te krijgen van iemand die de taal perfect spreekt. Haar lessen zijn afwisselend, want tijdens elke les komt er een spreekwoord of gezegde, muziek en cultuur voorbij. Soms in spelvorm, soms gewoon uit het boek. We lezen, spreken en luisteren naar elkaar. Daarbij is het fijn dat er een hele goede sfeer in de groep is. Humor is altijd aanwezig. De grammatica legt ze uit en zo nodig nog een keer. Alles altijd met een goed verzorgde PowerPoint. De les op zich is afwisselend, maar alle lessen zijn wel volgens een bepaald patroon. Dat geeft rust en dat is fijn. Ik vind het leuk om uitgedaagd te worden in de les, want ik denk dat je daar het meest van leert. Ze geeft heel goed leiding. The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level. Once you have found them, it will be very hard to quit playing!

El Taller Tecla y Música es un espacio pensado para aprender y desarrollar tu sentido musical y expresivo a través del piano y/o teclados.
El objetivo principal es aprender a hacer música y disfrutar del proceso de aprendizaje y sus resultados.
El material con el que trabajamos (canciones, piezas instrumentales y ejercicios) está orientado principalmente a tu gusto musical, y la elección es en función de ir ampliando gradualmente tus posibilidades técnicas y expresivas, y a la vez explorar distintos estilos musicales.
De este modo se van incorporando distintas herramientas para lograr en un corto plazo, dominio y fluidez sobre el lenguaje musical y el instrumento.
Dado que cada alumno tiene distintos intereses e inquietudes, ya sea tocar por afición o desarrollar una carrera profesional, componer, improvisar, etc., la orientación de las clases se construye en función de las posibilidades y necesidades particulares de cada caso.
La propuesta de trabajo implica una frecuencia de clases semanal para lograr una óptima dinámica de trabajo y que los resultados sean visibles en un corto plazo.
También existe la posibilidad de tomar clases aisladas con la finalidad de resolver un objetivo puntual como por ejemplo desarrollar y perfeccionar algún aspecto particular de la práctica y/o teoría musical así como el de preparar exámenes de instrumento o materias teóricas para instituciones de estudios musicales.

I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain, etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide).

I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. If you already have some experience, I can add to it.

My main goal is to help you achieve your goals and prepare the best lesson for you!

I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory.

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance, Classical Music (4 years). I have participated in numerous Piano Masterclasses in Europe, and I studied with great pianists. I still learn from different Highly Accomplished Musicians. I believe learning never stops.

I have much to share with my students.

TEACHING STYLE

I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality.

I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos.

I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits.

My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students for their Piano Exams, like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grades 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas).

I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old, and my youngest one is 3 years old. They made great progress, and I am sure you could do the same.

I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano.

I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation.

I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons.

CURRICULUM

I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years.

For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs.

Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible.

I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.

Piano/Keyboard - Alfred , Hal Leonard, Abrsm Grade (1-8), Trinity Grade (1-8), Hanon etc.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Enfoque personalizado: Lo más importante es saber qué quieres lograr. Adaptaré las clases a tus necesidades: no es lo mismo tocar por placer en casa que preparar pruebas de acceso (aunque siempre con el mismo rigor). Tus objetivos influirán en la metodología, la organización del estudio, el repertorio...

Ambiente relajado (pero riguroso): Una vez definidas tus metas, las clases serán dinámicas y sin presiones. ¡Ojo! "Relajado" no significa poco exigente, solo que evitaremos métodos militares —sobre todo por mi carácter y sentido del humor—.

Música, no solo notas: Mis métodos son muy dinámicos, con especial énfasis en el oído y la musicalidad. Nada de "leer, tocar y pasar página". Evito enfoques obsesionados con la lectura de partituras sin memorizar, escuchar o entender lo que se toca. Quiero que seas dueño de tu interpretación y tomes decisiones artísticas. ¡Advertencia! Puede que hasta te haga cantar.

Soon after, I enrolled in the local Conservatory, where I studied Organ and Classical Composition for eight years, followed by Jazz Piano studies. I graduated in 2021 and have been performing since 2016 in various folk, pop, and jazz ensembles across Italy.
Currently, I’m continuing my musical education at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, expanding my experience in performance, harmony, and pedagogy.

Most jazz piano teachers offer you a weekly video call and wish you luck until next week. I offer something different. Over the past six years, I've built a structured teaching system for adults who are serious about learning jazz piano properly — whether you're a working professional who's always loved jazz and finally has time to learn, or a classically trained musician ready to break free from the page and start improvising.

What makes my approach different:
Every student gets access to an interactive practice platform with exercises you can work through between lessons — tension identification, voicing construction, ear training, and more. These aren't PDFs or YouTube links, they're purpose-built tools that track your progress and adapt to your level. On top of that, I design personalised weekly practice routines for each student. You'll always know exactly what to practise, how long to spend on it, and what "ready to move on" sounds like. No guessing, no wasted practice time.
