My name is Laura (20) and I’m a student of music academy Kunstuniversität Graz. I have experience in violin teaching and I offer violin lessons online and in person. I also teach basics of music theory and sheet reading. Welcome are students of all ages!

My goal is that you come out of the lessons feeling inspired and enriched by music and of course, trying to enjoy together. There is no need to have a minimum level for the lessons, whether you are a beginner or have an advanced level for violin-viola or Music theory, my lessons will be adapted to your needs and desires to get the best out of each student. I have been teaching at various music schools for 10 years and have had the privilege of taking violin lessons with children of all ages. With the youngest string players from the age of 3, I provide fun and child-friendly lessons based on the Suzuki method. * But I also accompany young people who want to play the violin as a hobby or who want to prepare for studying as a professional musician. My students play in various orchestras because I try to find opportunities for them to make music together and also to perform if they wish. Thanks to my additional training as a music physiologist, making music in a healthy way is very important to me. Hello everyone! I would like to greet each of you and praise your courage in learning a musical instrument. We are all exposed to the age of digitalization and now, more than ever, the real, tangible aspects of the moment are often neglected. That's why I believe that learning how to create art the old-fashioned way can put anyone back in touch with their own self! I completed a bachelor's and master's degree in violin performance with honors in Graz and attended a diploma course for 3 years at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In addition to my solo training, I am also regularly active in areas such as chamber music or professional orchestral playing (in orchestras such as the Graz Philharmonic, Recreation Orchestra Graz, Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Erl, Beethoven Philharmonic, Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra, etc.)

I am currently employed as an assistant violin professor at the Ljubljana Music Academy and have been working as concert master of Philharmonie Salzburg and Ljubljana Soloists for the better part of the last decade. My concert experience involves soloistic and chamber music performances at prestigious venues and festivals in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia and China. My pedagogical approach is very systematic and includes technical preparation, musical interpretation, performance practice of different styles and orchestral audition preparation. I studied violin with Igor Ozim at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and Rainer Schmidt at the Music Academy Basel as well as baroque violin with David Plantier at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. I have lately been dedicating special attention to the performance practice of the baroque and classical eras so you are welcome to consult me on this topic as well as any other violin playing aspect.
