I was born in Athens. Since 1998 have been collaborating with many distinguished musicians and composers (Michalis Nikoloudis, Audric Jankauskas, Haig Yazdjian, Babis Tyropoulos, Vasilis Rakopoulos, Giorgos Maglaras, Nikos Sidirokastritis, Giorgos Palamiotis, Nikos Kapilidis, Vaggelis Karipis, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Dimitra Galani, Lavrentis Macheritsas, recording and playing in concerts in Greece and internationally.

Education

I began my journey in music by studying modern guitar. Later turned to violin studies and after years of working on violin technique, got my autonomy and continued my studies independently in music theory, ear training, and solfeggio also kept learning by playing next to great and very experienced musicians.

About the Lesson:

Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills?
In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument.
I will guide and help you to achieve this goal by providing the following classes:

- Contrabass (Jazz and Classical and any other style)
- Bass Guitar (Any modern style)
- Music Theory
- Solfeggio/ Ear training
- Jazz Harmony

All these classes can be taught seperately. Nevertheless, during our instrumental lesson we will cover a portion of the material of all the modules.

I am Maria, and I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from zero to the top.
I love all student levels, but only towards the CLASSICAL piano, of any eras' works and composers.

I will help you discover the advanced piano technique, and the ways to achieve your best musical interpretation. Also, very important, I'll help you understand and approach each composers' unique style, and, also, secure your concert / stage presence, with simple and effective solutions for memorisation and control.

I am a very proud piano teacher, as on Jan 11 2026 four young students of mine were awarded by the renown American Competition "The Royal Foundation" and were invited and performed at a Gala at the Carnegie Hall in New York City! Also, these kids were invited to participate to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons, a fabulous chance and experience that I wish all young pianists could have!

On Sept 1st 2024 three awarded students of mine were invited to perform at The DiMenna Classical Centre of Music in Manhattan, from another American competition, the International Youth Music Competition.

I wish I can always bring such great opportunities and successes to all of my "piano kids"!

- Qualified Violin and Music Theory Τeacher offers private lessons to beginners or advanced students or to anyone who wishes to learn the art of the instrument. Primary goal of my teaching is to cultivate an understanding and appreciation for Music, through an instrument that has a leading role in many different genres. Through training in technical as well as in artistic/aesthetic aspect, I focus on those details that will create a pleasant and fruitful "interaction" with the violin for each student.

I am a trained classical singer from Berlin, but I would like to install myself in Athens. In class, we will build your vocal technique with which you can sing about anything you'd like. As a yoga teacher, I focus on a holistic approach to singing using also yogic tools to improve technique and performance. In the second half of class, we will build a repertoire that you'd like to sing and implement the technique into it.

Besides singing I play the violin and piano. I can teach them up to an intermediate level.

I have 5 years of experience with all three subjects. Privately and in a music school located in Berlin

The older I get, the more I love. Especially during these times of immense ugliness and hate, wars and conflict, music- that's always been all about love - is the home I keep returning to. To me, mentoring someone is all about sharing the love for the instrument, thirst about the material, desire to explore new musical paths and respect for whatever happens whilst playing.

Not only we will explore technical paths and understand rhythm under a totally different light but also communicate through improvisation and modal principles. My goal is for you to love the instrument a bit more, music a bit more and as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said "Perhaps love is the process of my leading you gently back to yourself".
So let's explore together the painstakingly beautiful process of music through the inner child.
