I'm available to teach any person who plays or wants to play the trombone, that includes some help on theory and music perception. My goal is to help the student understanding on how music works and flows, and how to have an efficient trombone playing. If this goal is reached, there's no one happier than me :) I can help also in choosing equipment (trombone, mouthpiece), as also giving tips for any matter related to this wonderful profession! I'm right now a freelancer in Luzern, where I did my Master's in Performance.

I studied my Bachelor in Zaragoza (Spain), and then moved to Switzerland to study my Master. From September I will start a Master in Contemporary Music at HSLU. In the field of teaching I have 3 years of experience in Spain: I used to teach saxophone and theory in music schools and I also used to give private lessons. I consider myself very open when it comes to teach: I like to personalize my teaching depending on the student’s level, goals and tastes, although I always remain confidently when it comes to the playing technique! I’ve worked with both children and adults of different levels and also different styles of music. My main goal is always for the students to develop their creativity! I love when a student is curious and lively and challenges me to know better how music and my instrument works. In this class, you will decide what you want to learn, and I will give you lessons and homework based on that, your skill level, and your preferred genre group (western classical or contemporary).

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music.
