What we will do during our lessons together: Music Theory lessons: - For Beginners, we will focus on hearing and differentiating notes, rhythmic patterns, singing melodies and how to have fun with music. - For with experience, we will focus on music theory, harmonisation, dictation and singing and how we can use them in music. Early music education: For the ages between 2 to 4, the parents will need to be there Ages 2-4: We will explore different sounds and textures of the instruments, sing fun songs and play musical tools freely along with different songs. Ages 5-6: We will sing and play different fun songs, practice melodic and rhythmical memory and play different musical games. Ages 7-8: We will sing and play songs, practice melodic and rhythmical memory and learning musical notation. Lessons via webcam are also possible

With my classes, not only will you learn to play with ease, you will also be able to crack the code of music, so you will understand how notes, chords, rhythm and music theory relate to each other. You will no longer be simply playing through mindless memorization or repetition. You will also learn how to listen to yourself and recognize when you have played well, and when you have made mistakes. Although I am classically trained, I started guitar playing rhythmic music, such as nirvana and the beatles, and I still have a deep understanding of the style and have taught it for years. I aim to teach guitar the right way, without taking short cuts that limit knowledge and development later on. I have a personalised approach to each student, refusing to force them to play exactly as I do, but helping them to refine their own innate technique. To that end, I create my own exercises for my students, compiling the best from the existing literature, and am working to creating my own guitar method book. Hej! I'm Marshall, an Australian violinist currently living and studying in Copenhagen. I have just started the second year of my Masters's degree at The Royal Danish Academy of Music studying with Elisabeth Schneider. Along with my studies, I am a casual violinist with the Aarhus & Göteborg Symphony Orchestras. Prior to moving to Denmark I studied for my bachelor's degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on a full scholarship and have participated in the Mozarteum International Summer Academy. I have been teaching violin/viola since 2015 and in 2020-2021 I was employed by the West Australian Department of Education to teach violin/viola to primary school students. Each and every student is different, so I try and cater to their learning experience. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have experience with the violin/viola, I can help you with your musical journey. In each lesson, I focus on building a strong technical foundation, understanding music theory, and learning repertoire. I aim to make it a positive learning environment for both students & teachers. I have experience teaching beginners through to advanced students.

Ableton is one of the most popular Audio editing softwares to date. In this course it will be in focus, but all other music editing softwares will work aswell. We deep dive into mixing theory, gain staging, listening setups and much more. I think you will find it very enlightening & fun.

Finally there is an international guitar school in Copenhagen where all students are not only learning how to play properly the guitar from a professional guitarist but also how to appreciate the meaning of the music and arts. Students will also be prepared for professional music education. So whether the student wants to become a professional guitar player or play the guitar as a hobby, they will always learn a constructive way to play the guitar and perform with the instrument. Lessons are open for everyone (children, teenagers, adults). The students are welcome to the lessons from the age of 6. Carlos is currently working as a teacher in Copenhagen with his own music school, His students represent several nationalities. Carlos has excellent motivation with his profession and he is driven to help his students to achieve their best. You will find him to be a positive, hard-working, down-to-earth person with a good sense of humor. He has very good communicational and interpersonal skills which enable him to discuss any matter of concern with the students and their parents.

These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

Western music theory is a great tool for musicians, songwriters, and composers. As a musician, western music theory will help you communicate with other musicians. As a songwriter, western music theory will help you write songs. As a composer, western music theory will help you compose pieces. In this class, you will decide what you want to learn, and I will give you lessons and homework based on that, your skill level, and your preferred genre group (western classical or contemporary).

I've taught many topics, from the basics of reading music, college level ear-training, Renaissance and Baroque counterpoint, Classical harmonic analysis, Jazz harmony, and 20th century techniques. We’ll use your prefered music and instruments (or voice!) to make the learning process relevant and enjoyable. Whether you're a curious beginner, a performer looking to refine your knowledge, or a composer aiming for a deeper dive, this course is for everyone.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies. Please feel free to leave me a message, I will reply as soon as possible.

I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. Whether you want to understand a particular aspect of music theory or If you struggle with music theory in general, then this is the class for you - why not give it a try?
