Drawing upon a decade of dedicated service as an AMI Montessori educator, I bring a wealth of experience and passion to the world of early childhood education. Specialising in children aged 3 to 6, I am committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
In addition to my Montessori expertise, I hold a degree in special needs education. This educational background equips me to provide curated support for children with diverse learning requirements, ensuring a welcoming and stimulating environment for every child during my sessions.
Beyond my classroom experience, I also offer private tutoring. This allows me to work closely with individual children, addressing their specific needs and fostering their intellectual and personal growth.

Présentation
I followed the bachelor's degree of Special Needs Education in the Open University of Sri Lanka. There I learned about educational technology for special needs students, the values of primary education, child rights and educational management. I also possess knowledge on how to adapt my school curriculum in an inclusive classroom. I also did many teaching practice sessions to develop my own teaching methodologies. I attained the DETE at the University of Colombo. Here I was educated on more advanced English reading, writing, speech, listening and literature concepts. I followed CPTE at the Institute of Western Music and Speech, in which I further sharpened my language skills. I also followed AMI at the Good Shepherd Maria Montessori Center, Sri Lanka, where I gained the practice and principles of the Montessori method for children.
I was a primary teacher in Colombo International school-Srilanka(CIS), in Good Shepherd Montessori House of children(as an AMI Montessori Teacher), and also Sunflower International Primary School as a Montessori Teacher.
Teaching is a very demanding profession, and as per my experience, I see my students succeed and gain positive results regularly. It is no secret that I'm greatly driven by their hard work and achievements. Sometimes I have come across children who are uninterested and very distracted in a learning environment but I as an educator use versatile educational strategies to encourage the hidden talents of students.

As a passionate and versatile primary school teacher with an impactful 13-year journey in education, I wholeheartedly believe in the potential and innate talents of every child.
