Tutoring in French, maths and physics I like to base my lessons on the active participation of the student by letting him try for himself often with leads that I give him instead of giving the ready-made answer. This allows, I am convinced, a better and more lasting understanding, and gives meaning to what we do. It also helps to find which method or approach works best for each student, which I find important. That's why I like that the student has tried some exercises for himself before the lesson, to use our lesson time as well as possible.

To improve in a subject, you just need to know the rules and the rest becomes child's play. Having been a recent student, I adapt to the person and personalize my course. Pedagogy is the most important, so I try to make my course come alive! I obtained a baccalaureate in Economics and Social Sciences (ES) with honors, a double bachelor's degree in History and Economics with honors and a master's degree in visual arts at HEAD. This course is intended for students, from primary to mature. Also for adults.

I am a 19 year old student with a lot of ease in these subjects and it is with pleasure that I will help your children with their homework or exam preparation. If they want to deepen their knowledge in French or in English it is willingly I teach them in a fun way, and with subjects that interest them, these subjects. We learn much faster when the subject interests us or when the course makes the subject interesting and I speak from experience.

Friendly tutor with 15 years of experience in science teaching, I offer help, support and tutoring for all levels from primary to university. I am a chemist-physicist and have been teaching science for over 15 years in private lessons and in classrooms, at the high school, pre-high school, university, and evening classes. I help my students with chemistry, physics, biology, math, and other scientific subjects. The important thing for me is to give my pupils confidence and finally make them independent. As a coach or trainer I am an ally, I am not the one who will assess or judge the work of the student in class but the one who will help him, show him the keys and accompany him to the success of his exams or his school year for example. The important thing for me is to understand how the student works, how he works, and then help him in a way that matches what he / she will find logical or natural.

The help with homework and exam revisions (Maturity, Baccalaureate) can and should be moments of sharing and fun, centered on your needs. Holder of two engineering degrees (one generalist, the other focused on public policy and sustainable development) and a doctoral thesis (mathematical methods applied to the management of ecosystems exploited), I have a solid background in mathematics, physical sciences and natural sciences. I am also very fussy on the subject of grammar, conjugation, vocabulary ... all in all fundamentals to acquire to write and speak an irreproachable French. I have accompanied many children and young people in their studies, with a taste for explanation, training by practice and understanding. My appetite for learning foreign languages makes me an eternal learner, and makes me anxious to understand the other's thinking, to adapt to it and to transmit knowledge in a personalized and sustainable way.

FOR WHOM, FOR WHAT: This course aims to provide a framework for the preparation of future students at EPFL. Many students are preparing for the start of the new school year at EPFL, but many of them are lost and don't know where to start. Some drag gaps from gymnasium/college with them, which prevent them from starting to learn/relearn math and physics and prepare well for the start of the school year. In this course, I propose to supervise the student in his preparation. This course is adapted to the level in mathematics (standard and advanced) and physics (standard) of all sections of EPFL*. CONTENTS : The course aims to adapt to the needs of the student. For more information on course content, please contact me to discuss. REMARKS : -> This course aims to give a boost to future students at EPFL. It does not in any way guarantee the success of the student (obviously). -> This course is often given in support of the book "Know how in mathematics" -> The course is based on my experience (EPFL, mathematics section). SIZE: The course can be given face-to-face in the Lausanne region (preferably Renens / Ecublens) or Geneva (preferably center) depending on my travel availability (this is to be agreed by message with me directly, this option only appears by default in my schedules available below). Mathematics is a very complicated subject when you don't know how to approach it, it is easy to get lost in all those numbers, formulas and other letters that can be found on our copies. I am a future student of the HEP in Lausanne, having a master's degree in statistics and having done EPFL offers to give Mathematics courses at all levels to those who need it. I try to make the student progress as well as possible with personalized support that corresponds to him / her.

I propose to give math and English lessons for any level. I got my gymnasiale maturity (college of geneva) in 2015 (old Greek option). I am now a student-athlete (basketball) in the United States, and for 2 years. I am in Geneva until August. I feel particularly comfortable in these 2 disciplines. Firstly in maths, a branch that has always been my favorite. Secondly in English, language that I already mastered at my matu and that I practice daily for about 2 years. I am perfectly bilingual English-French. I can also teach French, German, or any other subject to people with a level below or equal to what is requested in the 4th year of college, if necessary.

Mathematics is often an ostile subject, because it is cumulative (we need the baggage of notions learned in the past to continue), this on the other hand makes it easy to catch up once we find the gap :) There are no good or bad students, there are methods that may be more meaningful for some than others. If you want to review your impression of math, I'm here to help you. I have been giving lessons for 20 years, and I find this profession very fascinating! Do not hesitate to contact me, I would be delighted to be able to help you Carlotta

I have a lot of experience in the field of private lessons, indeed, I already had, at my charge, 7 students of different levels. I have always had a very good contact with the children I helped, we take the time to review the basics or improve their skills. I work with the yard done in class, we also do a lot of exercises but each student is different, I usually adapt to meet the needs of the student. I can move home or make an appointment in a library (CMU, Unimail etc) ..

I can use different learning methods depending on the student. Ideally, the student should send me the course they want to work on in advance so I can prepare and review certain concepts if necessary. I love exploring and re-explaining if necessary, so there's no need to stress, we take the time we need to understand everything.
