In my classroom, I teach the Arabic language to non-native students using the curriculum "Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk," which is one of the best curricula for teaching Arabic to non-Arabs. This curriculum is distinguished by its smooth and gradual approach, helping students learn the language naturally and enjoyably.

أَبْدَأُ الدَّرْسَ بِتَقْدِيمِ المَوْضُوعِ بِطَرِيقَةٍ تَشْوِيقِيَّةٍ، مُسْتَخْدِمًا الصُّوَرَ وَالمَقَاطِعَ الصَّوْتِيَّةَ لِجَذْبِ انْتِبَاهِ الطُّلَّابِ. ثُمَّ أَطْلُبُ مِنْهُمْ القِرَاءَةَ بِصَوْتٍ مُرْتَفِعٍ لِتَحْسِينِ نُطْقِهِمْ وَتَعْوِيدِهِمْ عَلَى الإِنْسِيَابِيَّةِ فِي القِرَاءَةِ. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، نُنَاقِشُ المَعَانِيَ وَالمُرَادِفَاتِ لِتَعْمِيقِ فَهْمِهِمْ لِلنَّصِّ.

I begin the lesson by introducing the topic in an engaging way, using pictures and audio clips to capture the students’ attention. Then, I ask them to read aloud to improve their pronunciation and accustom them to fluent reading. After that, we discuss meanings and synonyms to deepen their understanding of the text.

فِي كُلِّ حِصَّةٍ، أُوَفِّرُ فُرَصًا لِلطُّلَّابِ لِلتَّحَدُّثِ بِاللُّغَةِ العَرَبِيَّةِ، حَيْثُ أَطْلُبُ مِنْهُمْ تَكْوِينَ جُمَلٍ وَمُحَادَثَاتٍ صَغِيرَةٍ لِتَطْبِيقِ مَا تَعَلَّمُوهُ. كَمَا أَسْتَخْدِمُ التَّمَارِينَ الكِتَابِيَّةَ وَالتَّطْبِيقِيَّةَ لِتَعْزِيزِ القَوَاعِدِ وَالمُفْرَدَاتِ.

In every session, I provide opportunities for students to speak in Arabic by asking them to form sentences and engage in small conversations to apply what they have learned. I also use written and practical exercises to reinforce grammar and vocabulary.
