Physiology and anatomy tutoring for Medical school students

General pathology and system-based pathology lessons for medical students, whether taking it for the first time or for usmle preparation. The lessons are available online and all coursework and presentations will be provided by me. There will be frequent verbal quizzes to recall mandatory information.

I am an experienced tutor specialising in science, math and university applications. My sessions are tailored to you and your needs so that you can get the most out of my classes! I’m currently studying medicine at University College London (UCL) (UK), and completed the IB and IGCSE curriculum in high school. Having been through the medical school application process, I know how challenging it can be and am very eager to help anyone applying to university in medicine and/or scientific fields. I can offer personal statement advice, help with interview prep and entrance exams. In terms of science subjects, I tutor in maths, biology, chemistry, and general science for all levels (middle school- high school). After more than 17 years of a very intensive teaching ‘career’ (with CELTA certificate) I stopped teaching using "usual ready made programmes". We explore amazing facts or find out some new details. It’s important for me that English doesn’t become a goal as it is, but is one of the means and instruments of what I call real life :) In the process of this exploration we play a lot, have a lot of practice using different available sources, and study a lot of information finding answers to real questions we have. And we improve in the language ‘studied’ as a result. When dealing with ESP courses (English for specific purposes), i.e. English in Medicine, Aviation, Sport, Negotiations and Presentations, etc. we dive into the topics, studying thoroughly different books, articles, video-lectures, atlases. We sometimes also organize events online for people ‘from real world’ where we share important or surprising information. It’s not only a lot of pleasure from sharing, but also a really good ‘practice bonus’. When ‘working’ with children we become friends and go into a lot of secrets of the family (sorry :), friends, we talk things over that are important for them. When taking any material they study at school (at physics, mathematics, history, literature, etc.), we explore them, looking for the solutions to the problems/quizzes or finding how those rules, laws, etc. could be used in everyday life. It’s not interesting for me any more to use ready made programmes for my classes, in spite of them having been developed by super educated people. I take some material from them or we could choose authentic courses as the basis for our classes but I feel free to use only 10% from them and use a lot what we really need. It’s a bit different with tough deadlines, incredible tasks and goals… The language there is already the instrument to achieve a goal and it is highly motivating and needs a lot of focus and work. And brings us pleasure when we get it. I am for pleasure and real life :)

I teach to help students understand their subjects and make sense of how molecules, genes, organelles, and organs work and interact with each other. I can help with making notes, illustrations, to make the subject easier to study for exams. All my students improved their grades after attending my classes and studying my notes. I can help undergrad and grad levels such as MSc and PhD in their courses. I also can supervise and guide you in designing and writing a report/thesis as well as proofreading and editing it. I have experience with supervision students in both levels.

The only way how to get a place among other medical students at Comenius Universty is to LEARN QUESTIONS AND ANSWERES BY HEARTH. But as you might have noticed, questions are sometimes extremely tricky and you can lose a quantum of precios points. With me you will understand: - system/stratedy on how to approach learning for exams - summary of all nasty tricky questions - explanation of everything what to be explained (and not only memorized) I have a GRAPHIC TABLET which is suitable for explaining the chemistry reactions / mathematical chemisty. Lesson procedure: On the 1st lesson I am going to teach you how to approach learning for exams + cheat sheet with tricky questions + general overlook + questions you have and are not clear to you. You are going to learn till our next meeting (once in 2 weeks) a set of questions by hearth by revising them. 1 session will last at minimum 120 minutes. Next I am going to give you 2 test exams for biology and chemistry. Next we are going to evaluate it and explain questions you did not understand. Me in the nutshell: I am studying dentistry at Masaryk University in Brno, but I was admitted to Medical Faculty of Comenius University for general medicine as well (750 points).
