I tailor make my classes to suit the students needs whether they want a focus on grammar, conversation, proof reading and editing. I have experience in preparing students for Cambridge and Eiken tests of all levels. Most of my current students are taking classes for traveling overseas and international exchange.

I am from Cape Town South Africa and I have been teaching English in Japan for the last 8 years at every level. I've lived in Nagano for 6 years and Tokyo for 2 years. I did work as an ALT at a private High school in the area as well as kids schools in Tokyo. I have a love for teaching English in a fun way and encouraging students to achieve the goals that they think impossible since they cant speak English. My class moto is "If you can say hello, you're already half way there!".

The job I did during this time was the editing and proofreading of a thesis to
be handed in this year. My employer and I worked through a 200 page thesis with the
main bulk of our work focusing on correcting spelling, grammar and references.

Job title: Native English Teacher
I am currently an English Teacher in Ueda Nagano. I am responsible for
teaching all ages from 1 -17 at different schools each week. The younger kids would be
taught basic English through fun and innovative ways. The older kids would be taught
conversational English which they can use for day to day interactions.

I am an online English instructor for adult students. The students I teach
are from all over the world from varying skill levels, from beginner to
upper/intermediate. Within this company I teach both individual and group lessons. The
main focus of the classes can include anything from basic conversational to corporate
level English.

Job title: ALT
I taught at Ueda Nishi High School as an ALT and I am contracted by both the school and the agency LUNA International. My work at the school consists of teaching all levels from 1st to 3rd year high school classes consisting of grammar and communication classes. There is another class for 2nd and 3rd year students called world studies, the main focus of this class is not English but teaching about current world events and popular culture (New songs, governments around the world, current affairs, discriminations and appropriation etc.).
I am also one of four teachers who run the E.C.C. ( English communication club) which is focused on expanding students' worldwide knowledge as well as interesting games and activities to take part in weekly. There are also monthly and yearly events which we do such as the Christmas party, Halloween party and open day classes.

I was a teacher at KidsDuo a branch of Yaruki Switch group. I spent my time there taking care of students between the ages of 2 to 16. The classes themselves were focused on a range of activities such as vocabulary, social development, fundamental basics etc. The classes had a learning English in a fun environment. The work also entailed taking students to outdoor activities as well as field trips to Aquariums and seasonal activities such as Halloween classes and Christmas lessons.
