Karen has performed with ensembles such as the Amazonas Chamber Orchestra, Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra, Corona Symphony, La Cañada Symphony, and the Korean American Young Symphony, appearing at venues including the Amazon Theater, Zipper Hall, Royce Hall, and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

In Los Angeles, she contributed to recordings for Amazon Prime’s Cross, Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, and NASA’s 25th anniversary album “X Into Darkness”, recorded at Sony Pictures. She also appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, The Voice America, and the CBS Family Awards.

Beyond performing, Karen is passionate about teaching. She has taken part in music festivals such as Gramado in Concert (Brazil) and directs the educational program “Cello in Concert” at Smart Music School in California. Her teaching approach blends solid technique, musicality, and expressive freedom — helping each student build confidence and joy through the cello.

I’m a Brazilian cellist currently based in Barcelona. I hold a Master’s degree in Cello Performance from Azusa Pacific University (Los Angeles), where I studied with a full scholarship and worked as a teaching assistant.

I’m now a doctoral researcher at the University of Barcelona, focusing on music performance and culture.

I have performed with orchestras in Brazil and the U.S., and I truly enjoy sharing my passion for music with students of all ages. My lessons are creative, structured, and adapted to each student’s goals — always with sensitivity and joy.

Transverse Flute Classes. You will learn the technique to start the instrument and be able to play songs of genres such as jazz, Bossanova, Cuban music and / or classical music. We will always work on a technical part (Scales and arpeggios) and repertoire (classical and / or popular). We will also include notions of musical language in the classes so that you can advance in your instrument. Professional music teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience.

I have finished my Master degree in Piano at the Conservatori del Liceu (Barcelona) this year, and I have many years of experience teaching, children and younger students, as well as adult people.

Currently I am working in a music school, but at the same time I give private lessons.

I have been giving private lessons for 10 years. In addition, I have extensive experience working with groups of many ages, from children to adults, so I would love to help you learn an instrument or get started in the fascinating world of music, whatever your age. I don't care about your level, my goal is to enjoy learning music. In addition, I offer you the possibility of academic training with a degree recognized internationally by the London College of Music and the University of West London in collaboration with the International School of Musicians (ISoM), a company of which I am a representative. Violinist with the Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Prague Philharmonic, I am a young musician with a master's degree from the Royal College of Music in London.

Whether you start playing from scratch, or if you are thinking of doing competitions or admission tests, I will help you achieve your goals. I have been giving private lessons to all kinds of ages and levels for more than three years, combining it with my own career as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician.
My goal is to pass on all the information my teachers have given me and boost your skills!

WHAT?
The classes will be between 45 and 60 minutes depending on your age, level and availability. We will focus on understanding the technique behind the instrument and from there exploiting its artistic potential to the maximum, always from a didactic point of view, enjoying and free of frustrations.
And to catch up on goals and way of working, the first class will be FREE!
If you prefer, we can also give the classes in English or French to improve those languages.

WHERE?
I can move throughout the city of Barcelona. If you prefer, the class can also be online, although I personally always recommend that it be in person.
